  3. I was just thinking about a personal experience with Maltitol and figured I'd warn all of you, because apparently it's common. A lot of Sugar Free candies, ice cream and stuff have Maltitol in them and this stuff, if you eat too much, will give you the worst gas pains that you could ever imagine. I almost went to the hospital because my episode was so bad years ago, then someone told me to see if the gummy bears that I just ate had Maltitol in them and sure enough, they did. Take my word, please! Lol. Don't splurge just because it's sugar free! I'd rather gain a pound than go through that all night again! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  4. I have a few pallet projects too! I love the turquoise people are using now! Boyfriend hates headboards so I've decided that I'll do an on the wall faux headboard type thing, but it's not attached so HA! LOL. Move closer and go junk shopping with me! Lol. My mom is already collecting jars for me for other random things! Haha. I'm also waiting for someone to remodel their home and trash their shutters so I can make something with those too! Haha Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  5. Remembered that you posted that you were from Texas City. Are you okay? I just saw on the news about the shelter in place (that is now lifted) from the acid spill or whatever it is. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  6. It's going to be! Especially since I now have an electric sander! Sanding is my least favorite part of the job! I'm also going to make my "other two kids" (my dogs. Lol.) a dog bed that actually matches my house rather than a flannel/fur pallet that looks out of place! Once I get started on all my projects, I'll post the before and after in my blog on here and let you all know about them! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  7. I have a tall, narrow chest of drawers that was my Nanas when she was younger. It was one of the items I got from her when she passed. I've been wanting to fix it up and change the color, but thought it was something she wouldn't like. Lol. I'm crazy like that. But my mom told me that she was actually going to sand it and change it a few years before she passed, so I'm finally going to do it! It's in extremely good condition, no nicks or anything, just the color is horrible! Then... Oh man... THEN I'm going to garage sale/good will like a mad woman and buy all the sad little fixer upper stuff. Lol. My boyfriend is gunna hate me for all of this. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  8. I've had to force myself to eat jello cups a lot this week. It's not taking much to fill me up, but it's not holding me over til my next meal. I had to get up at midnight and eat jello because of hunger pains. I tried to ignore them but they start hurting BAD! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  9. Woke the snoring beast up for a 3am sesh. It must of been good because I woke up to a really sweet note. Lol. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  10. Oops, they're at the True Results building on Main! I don't know what floor. The 8th I guess? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  11. I know of at least one other lady that is going, she's the one that told me to start going. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  12. I was going to go to the one before I was banded but something came up. =( Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  13. I had surgery on the 12th with Dr. Reilly. If any of you will be at the True Results monthly meeting next Tuesday at 6, let me know! I'll be there! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  14. Daaaaang! Hope my boyfriend doesn't mind me saying that you are smokin! Haha. I'm in Webster, not too far from Galveston. I'm with the other person that said to let them know when you go to Galveston! I'd love to have band friends near me! I was banded just 2 weeks ago on the 12th. I'll be at the True Results monthly meeting next Tuesday at 6, those of you that are close should come! Thanks for sharing your story and being such an inspiration! You really look amazing and totally make me feel motivated! xx Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  15. Mine said he's never canceled a surgery or stopped mid surgery. True Results did tell me that he would if I didn't lose the weight though. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  16. Lol, I can't wait to do a ton of Pinterest projects when we move! Ahhh! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  17. DON'T TOUCH THE SCALE THIS WEEK! I've heard that it's totally normal to gain a little right after. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  18. My doctor said that it's normal and he told me to keep taking it easy. He also got on to me for picking my daughter (30lbs) up in front of him and he told me that was my problem (bending and the weight). Lol. But unless it's just excruciating, I think we're fine. He said it takes a lot longer for the port to heal than the rest. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  19. Maybe, but are you sure that it's the medicine that made you constipated? I know it's very normal to not go near as much on the post op diet. I didn't go til almost a week after either and I've only gone like 3 times since surgery on the 12th. Lol, TMI, but whatever! If you're having pain, take something! You'll heal much faster! =) Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using LapBandTalk
  20. No worries, deep breaths do the same thing. It's uncomfortable to do, but I promise it'll help. The "breathing thing" (I don't know the name... Someone help me out here! Lol) just measures how much air you're taking in, it's just a little plastic device. And no, no hernia for me! Hopefully you'll be skinny AND heartburn free, huh?!
