After 8 months of insurance hoops and appointments I FINALLY have my date!! I'm October 8th and my partner is October 1st. Anyone else here October bandsters? I'm getting very excited!!

Im hoping my surgery will be in October. I meet with the surgeon next Wednesday and will get my date then. Im self paying so I wont have to wait for insrance to okay it. Im very excited to get my journey going!

So by being self pay you think you will be able to have the surgery that fast? I'm self pay and I go have my consult tomorrow and I hope I can have mine the first of November. Where are you having your surgery? With self pay did you have to do the sleep apnea, and meet with nutritionist and all the other stuff insurance people had to do? I know the blood work yes because I'm having mine done tomorrow.

I imagine you will have to do the same safety tests, the ones the surgeons themselves want. Good luck.

Oct. 11th here! From Staten Island, NY...got approved yesterday after waiting since January!

Finally got my date 10-19 & mayb sooner because they Are moving & only doing lap bands there.

October 4th for me;)

Had my consultation today. Had blood work and EKG done as long as everything comes back normal next week I'm scheduled for Oct. 29 with a 2 week liquid diet. So excited this is will a fast process, only going this fast because I am self pay. So I don't have to go through all of the extra testing.

Oct 9th for me too I start my Pre op diet Tuesday.

So far looks as I am first for October. I'll try to post ASAP after so you know how it's going. From what I have read ill be fine except for some gas pains ill need to walk off. I'm totally excited!!! Good luck everyone !
