From where the shot of heparin was given? It's been a little over two weeks and it's so dark and I have a knot or lump there. Its on a fat roll on my side. Kinda creeps me out.

It took a few weeks for all the bruising on me to go away. I am 4 weeks post op.

My husband just finished telling me how "gnarly" mine looked...My poor thigh. Im glad I had the doctors give all mine in the same general location, otherwise Id look like a weird, lumpy dalmation! They're pretty tender to touch too...Im 4 days post op and Im hoping they're gone sooner rather than later!

I gave myself heparin shots in the tummy... fortunately no bruising or hard lumps. im used to giving myself'' shots'' and take it real slow. that eases up on the bruising and the hard lumps. Hubbie and i do our own vit. B12 shots in the thigh and we dont have issues then either. It may well be the injection was given to you too quickly... not sure though.
