That Time Of The Month....

Recommended Posts

I have always been hungrier the week before and the week of my period. That being said, I thought the band would help with this, especially as I've read that a lot of people feel that their bands getter tighter during this time. Does anyone else still feel like they could eat a cow? This is very concerning for me....

Yepper, I am starving during that time. Thank goodness for skinny cow products- the icecream bars and the cheese satisfy my need for sweet without killing my diet. I also had a lot of Water weight gain during that time.

Have only had one period since my fill but from that experience, I agree that skinny cow products are great. I like their ice cream sandwiches. I did munch a little more during that time and my weight reflected it. Overall a half pound or pound gain but for me personally that is not a huge set back for a whole week. I have about 80 to lose so that was a small setback in comparison.

Thanks guys! It's nice to know that I'm not alone on this :). I haven't blown it by no means, but have went over my allotted calorie intake the past few days. I'll have to remember the skinny cow ice cream. It sure sounds yummy!

Hormones glorious hormones. This is one of those, everyone is different, issues. However, I also have increased appetite with my period. Only for a couple of days so I don't have to struggle that long. But I find increased Water and walking helps me stay out of the kitchen and gets me through the munchie madness.

I am always very hungry the week before my period...the band has done nothing to help. I do eat a lot more during that week but it has no long term negative effects on my weight loss

I'm hungry around then too but since my last fill, I'm really tight around that time and can only consume liquids and slider foods. Is that normal? I left a message for docs office cause its been a few days since i could eat solid healthy foods without getting stuck or having pain in my chest.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
