Recommended Posts

Hey guys!

I have been out for a while due to my Internet going down...anywhoo! I got my third fill today! I am at 6.1cc's and feel great! I think that I am finally in my green zone and am feeling great restriction! Total I am down 40lbs! When did you hit your "green zone" and how did it make you feel??

Great! I got there last week and it's been great. I thought it would never come, but 6.0cc was my magic number.

How do you know you are in the green zone?

The easiest way for me to tell is feeling adequate restriction, ideal weight loss, and the biggest is being able to only eat 1c to 1/2c of food per meal. Also staying full off of that until my next meal. I usually eat 4 times per day which is what my Dr. wants. I will eat at 7am usually a Protein Shake and then at noon, again at 4, and finally at 6. It has worked out great for me!

I just got to perfect restriction two weeks ago. 7.5ccs in an 11cc band. Took me amost 9 months to get here. My weight loss has increased over the past 2 weeks.. feels great! I've only lost 37lbs, but it's really starting to show now. My band is fairly tight.. so the green zone for me is, no breads, rice or pasta.. I can eat most anything else with small bites and thorough chewing. Dry meats are a definite no no. I add fat free dressings to just about everything to assist with sliding through. I'm full after about 1/2 to 1 cup of food.

Luv2sing920 - Your band will loosen as you lose weight.. so adjustments will be part of the process until you've hit your goal weight. Some people do not need as many adjustments and are able to stay in the green zone longer. Unfortunately, I am not one of them. I've had to have multiple adjustments, have hit the green zone a couple times. I usually have an adjustment every 4-6 weeks.

Good luck!

I am in the green zone. I went to doc on weds and down another 12 lbs in a month. That is a total of 75 lbs. I have great restriction but can't eat breads Pasta or rice. I am careful at eating now. I had two bad struck times and I have learned. I realize the tighter I am the better I have to be with chewing. This is a learning process. There are days that I can eat something and the next day I can't eat it. But I love being in the green zone and feeling very satisfied. Its the first time in years that food isn't my number one thing in life. I am getting to the point I am OK without a lot of foods and I think that has a lot to do with the green zone and being satisfied.

That's awesome guys!! yeah, getting to the green zone isn't always an absolute thing. My Dr. told me yesterday that as I lose weight I will have to get another few fills just to stay where i should be. The band will get more lose over time until you reach your goal weight. Its all a process, but it changed my life!

I don't know if I have reached my green zone yet. I had three adjustments which filled the band and my last one took .25cc out because I was too restricted. I think I am pretty close. I do feel full after about 1c of food and I stay full. I cannot eat bread either. Anything that is a little Gummy like tortillas or soft breads I cannot eat but if it is toasted its fine. Before my last adjustment I couldn't eat any solid Protein because it hurt my stomach and I would get full very quickly. Since they took that little bit out it has been great. I haven't gotten sick for about 4 weeks now, which is fantastic because before I was feeling sick almost everyday.

I think I was close to my green zane my last fill, but it got a little less restrictive a week or two out.

I an going to ask for a half a cc the next visit and I am certain that will do the trick.

all i needed was .6cc's to get there. I knew that was all i need and thats exactly what I got. Its great! I'm still trying to figure out how to put a band around my brain! ;)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
