Who Has Lost Over 100 Pounds?!?!

Recommended Posts

While I am very happy with that, I must admit that I am envious of those who have lost 100 lbs in 6-7 months. What is your advise? What is your typical days' diet like? I know sometimes its the small things that make a huge difference. I am really interested to hear from this group. ;)

Thanks.

i journal about 85 - 90% of everything (food and exercise) on my blog ( http://losingjusme.blogspot.com/ )

i work out A LOT ... i bought the book Total Body Makeover and am following that. it is very intense exercising.

my eating habits still need to change. if there is chocolate in the house or at my desk at work, i eat it ... :think i am almost at 100 pounds but my fear is that i will just stop losing ...

losingjusme: Thanks for sharing your tips. I checked out your blog and it's awesome. I am exercising 5 days a week. I'm doing Water aerobics and lifting weights a couple times a week. I think I need to get a personal trainer and get extremely serious about the exercise factor. I've been on a platueau for 6 weeks and it's really getting me down. It's helpful to see that other people have been successful!

I've lost 139 lbs in 7 months, i can't really workout (i have pain in my left leg when i do since december 15 or so and it's getting better this days with the help of a kinesioloy treatment) so i think my "secret" (if it can be called that way) is to eat lots of veggies and fruits, no fats, no salt, no cooking oil, drink lots of Water (no coke, sprite or similar) and also to keep my motivation high is to always weight myself when i woke up :notagree so i can start the day with a goal in my mind, one day at a time it's the way to go :).

Good luck, saludos! :clap2:

Nile, how in the heck are you not hungry all the time?

Here's my thing: I work my butt off at the gym and on my bike, but I am freakin hungry ALL the time. I eat like 2,000 calories a day. I'm pretty well restricted, but still hungry, even when I'm full I'm just not.. satisfied. I don't get it!

I got that kind of hunger too, when it gets me i go to the fridge pick a big bottle of Water and i drink it like there's no tommorrow :P in 5 minutes the only thing in my mind is to go the bathroom :D other option for me is to grab a pack of free sugar chewing gum :D. I tend to get it the days i'm feeling sad and i think it's 100% psychological so i don't really need the food i just want it!

Good luck, saludos! :clap2:

P.S: I saw your flickr photo album, you're gorgeous! :nervous

Good point. I have definitely been under a lot of stress lately, so that could explain the recent surge in appetite. I like the water idea, I'm going to try it. Except I'm going to put the green tea extract in it. That stuff is so nasty I don't want anything else for a few hours after that. So I'll kick that into high gear and see how it works.

And thanks for the nice compliment!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
