Can U "feel" Your Band?

I feel like I can "feel" my band. I'm five days post op and I can only consume about 1/4 to 1/2 cup at a time. Is this normal?

Yes it is completely normal sip slowly after all you are still recovering and you could have some swelling just follow your doctors orders good luck

I doubt you can feel band at this point maybe the port. But at 3 years out I can feel food pass through my band. I think it is our mind messing with us as to feeling band at that stage but I am not a Dr.

Yup sounds llike swelling. My first two weeks I thought I had restriction and then the swelling subsided. After that it all went back to normal until I started getting fills.

Thanks guys. So great to have this forum and all your support!

Are you allowed to eat solid food already? I was on clear liquids for the first week.

I can feel my port from the outside with my hand. I thought I could feel my band with my insides on the inside early. Everything is swollen. I am fine now so it is probably normal.

I can feel my port as well and the only other time I can feel the band is when I have a stuck episode. Some people say their band tightens up when it gets hot outside but I haven't noticed any differences.
