  1. Yep, sounds like gas. The heating pad and gas X will help. Walk as much as you can and try not too swallow extra air when you drink liquids.
  2. I didn't have one. But they did have me use the bathroom right before surgery.
  3. I take liquid Benadryl every night before bed. I love it because it helps me sleep.
  4. Yep, mine felt quite swollen for about 6 weeks. Now I can feel it when I push on it but its not as hard as before.
  5. I had corn on the cob last night and I loved it! I am 9 weeks post op and I had my first fill last week. I really expected a change in what I could eat, but its just the same as before. I avoid bread, fried foods, and potatoes because of the nutrition value but otherwise everything is good. I chew very very well, eat slow, and take small bites. I also keep my portions small. I'm dreading the day I won't be able to eat a salad or lightly steamed veggies.
  6. Thanks! I'm waiting until I find a "thinner" pic to change it
  7. I have one that is similar but it is full of what seem like lentil size beans. I love it! I use it to warm my feet in bed in the winter too.
  8. My mom lifts up one of her arms over her head and pulls it back down like honking a diesel truck horn. It always cracked me up as a kid. Not so much now when I catch her still do it .
  9. I have a Tanita digital scale that measures body fat as well as weight. It is the same brand as the one in my doctor's office and it always matches theirs. I've had it for 10 years and it still works perfectly. BTW- Its the inexpensive one, nothing fancy besides the fat body fat measurement.
  10. I get that sometimes and it usually means I need to burp a little. Once I release the gas it goes ago.
  11. My surgeons office offers B-12 injections. Does anyone else get them? If so, do they help you?
  12. Energy shots that you drink or like B-12 injections?
  13. I had my monthly post op visit with my surgeon today and she gave me a fill! I was hoping for one, but wasn't expecting her to agree. The best part is that it DID NOT hurt at all. Before she did it I asked her if she used lidocaine and she said only if I wanted to get two shots (she's a funny one.) Anyways, she had me hold my stomach in while she felt around then she put the needle in. I didn't even feel it! Awesome! By the way- she put in 3 cc's of fluid. I love my doctor!
  14. At your age (depending on how long you have carried the weight) you most likely won't have a lot of excess skin over time. Key term is "over time" -because your skin is still elastic and will shrink back within a few years. I've yoyo'd myself a ton of times through my 20's and early 30's and didn't really have much excess skin. This time seems a bit different as I kept the weight on longer and I'm older. Bah! Should have done this years ago!
  15. I had mine repaired during the lap band surgery. I didn't notice any issues, but I wouldn't know the difference. I'm super happy now, with no more reflux!!!
