Wooohooo Jumping On The Lapband Wagon!!!!

I got approved June 7th, went in for testing June 12th, and now I am scheduled for surgery ON JUNE 28th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It feels like this journey has taken forever but really only since March. I am so excited to finally get my life back on the right healthy track.

Started my pre-surgery diet today! Any tips on recovery, food to eat/not to eat or just some good ol' advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Yay, and good luck to you. This is a very exciting time. I would suggest that if you are planning on getting broth for after surgery you should think about buying regular cans of soup and straining it

  • Lots of popsicles, fat free/sugar free of course! Also, get up and move, move, move, you will recover faster.

I would suggest that if you are planning on getting broth for after surgery you should think about buying regular cans of soup and straining it for the broth. I tried the canned broth and it did not taste good, I couldnt even force myself to sip it. But if I took a regular can of soup and strained it, the broth was wonderful.

I agree with Grandma3. Sugarfree ice pops pre-op and post op! My husband & I {both banded} love our SF FF ice pops a few times a day even now. Going out to the store now to buy 2 big boxes for the week!

And yes, move, move, move.....
