2Nd Day On Puree- Stomach Burning

I need help please, I force myself to eat 1/2 cup of food trying to get my Protein in and I'm not hungry. Water is an issue, maybe 45oz.aday

. When I try to complete the 1/2 cup I can feel my stomach burning. Have I messed myself up by force eating? I'm tire of doing shakes to get my Protein in. I should have 40 grams of Protein for now and 70 later.

Surgery was May 24th with no fill, so this is my second day of Puree food.

I tried watermelon today, it was sooooo good but I was scared to swallow, because it requires a little chewing. So I spit it out, that hurt me to my heart LOL

So how do I get Protein in, if it makes my stomach burn to try to eat 1/2 cup each meal?

My doctor did not move me to mushies until day 15. Perhaps you need to take it a bit slower. I realise you are following orders but physically you may just need more time to heal. If you doctor has approved mushies; as long as you chew the watermellon to mush I would think it would be fine.

You should never force yourself to eat. If you have had enough you have had enough. Not listening to your body and eating when you didn't want it would have been one of the things that made you (and the rest of us) fat in the first place.

If you aren't taking anantacid, ask your doc about one. My doc put me on one for the first month. Don't force yourself, try some pureed soup with chicken or something bland. My stomachwas sour after surgery so Greek yogurt. Cottage cheese, etc. Didn't even sound good.

maybe pudding made with some protein powder? Good luck!
