How should we get rid of the Girl Scout Cookies?

I am serious here!!!! Girl Scout Cookies came a few days ago.....by accident. When the little girl asked me if I wanted to order some I told her I would be happy to give her some money for the cause but that I didn't want any cookies. 4 boxes of thin mints were dropped off at my door 2 days ago. I ate an entire 1/2 box!! I am scared to death to see how many calories I consumed!! HELP!!!

So, how do you think we should rid the world of Girl Scout Cookies? THESE THINGS ARE DANGEROUS!!!

If there's not someone in your immediate vicinity that you could give them to, I'd throw them away. I know that my addiction to food, especially things like Girl Scout Cookies would prevent me from acting responsible around them. It's not worth the money, the calories -- or what it does to us, mentally, when we fail in our attempt to avoid temptation -- to keep them around and see what happens.

Maybe I'm taking this too seriously, but for me, it's a serious issue. I *can't* have stuff like that around. For me, it would be like an alcoholic keeping beer in the fridge.

I read Mikey's thread. HILARIOUS!! If you haven't read it yet, GO READ IT NOW!! It's a great laugh. (Okay, so why are you still reading this?!?!?!)

Jonathan, I hear ya. I can't have the junk in the house either. The problem is - my kids & husband were here when the Girl Scouts delivered them. They screamed in EXCITEMENT when they saw them.

After my terrible binge yesterday, the Cookies are in my husbands work truck. But, I know they're there & CRAP, I can hear them calling out my name. :decision:

It looks like the Bonfire is winning so far!!! WHOOT! WHOOT!! So, where are we all gonna meet for the big cookie burn?!?!?!?!??!?!?

HAHAHA You want torture....Last year my DW ordered me a whole case, twelve boxes, of Samoas. I love them, they are my most favorite cookies in the world. They arrived right after we started the Atkins diet. I left them in the case for 9 months...then gave away all of them to our son and his friends. All except one box, which I used to celebrate our 30th Anniversary, back in September. I purchased a small carton of milk, sat down on the airplane to Las Vegas, and devoured the entire box. And yes...it was VERY satisfying, thank you very much.

LOL, I was thinking the same thing. I have bought 3 boxes, I believe I will be taken all 3 to work. I love the samoas and the peanut butter and I would eat 1 or 2 everytime i saw them on the table but come Monday i will send an email for everyone in my dpt to come get cookies.

I think that you should take them to work and put them on a pretty plate and let others enjoy them and stay wayyyyy back from the plate.

Now the poll reads that we should all just eat them in one sitting & end the torture. So........grab a big ol' glass of milk and ENJOY!!!!

Not sure why this popped up when it’s 19 years old but it’s still hilarious and still and issue. Omg!! They are so tasty. On a serious note when you get to maintenance you can freeze them so you don’t have them just sitting there staring at you and you have to think in advance about defrosting them for a little while at least. I do that with the peppermint bark that I love and buy after Christmas. I buy the individually wrapped ones so it’s way easier to freeze and pull out one portion.

I still eat them.. In moderation.. Sometimes I f**k up and eat a whole sleeve and end up sick and throwing up. Did I learn the lesson? yes until the next time I forget what I'm doing at 11pm watching big bang theory in bed a little stoned.
