Congratulations on doing an awesome job on weight loss. Good luck!

Hello fellow May Bandsters! Just found out today that my surgery is May 14th! Pre-op diet starts on Monday April 30th. Excited now!!

I just wanted to pop in and wish all the May bansters good luck. I was a May banster last year. I will be banded for 1 year on May 4th. ( I won't post my loss yet because I'm trying to reach a goal, but I'll post in on May 4th, just as a record.)

anyway, just wanted to wish you all the best of luck with the band. I know it has been amazingly wonderful for me. This year has really flown by. I can't believe it's been year already. It seems like just yesterday I was kvetching about the liquid diet and the post-op diet.

But really, just keep your chin up, keep plugging away at it. Don't look at the scale for the first month, or if you do look at it, just do it for record keeping purposes and don't get discouraged if it doesn't move for a few weeks. it will eventually move.....and a year from now you will look back and see how far you've come. Best of luck to all of you.

The May bloomers are popping up all over the place. :) Keep on popping and blooming! :D

Ok am I the only one that has a dr. that is requesting a liquid diet for two weeks before surgery?

No, you're not alone. I start mines Tuesday and I am very nervous.

Hi, I did meal replacements last year; the first day for me was tough, 2nd wasn't as bad. The third day was quite easy. But each day I couldn't wait for dinner time for my only meal of the day with real food. So good luck

I'm taking off the whole week of my surgery. I get surgery on a Monday and not going back until at least the following mon or tues if I need it. I'm a teacher and stand on my feet all day. Don't want to get to work and be uncomfortable.

Enjoy your last weekend of freedom to eat whatever you want. I did! I started my pre-op on Monday. Going good so far.

Congradulations and good luck

I love reading all these posts. I probably won't have my surgery until the start of June. I have my education class this next Wednesday and then the approval should be quick, but I also have to get the leave from work. I'm going to work some comp time this saturday so I can add a day to my leave. I plan on getting the surgery on a Wednesday so I can take off Wednesday, thursday, and Friday.

Thanks for the advice
