Well...Im banded. Feeling pretty uncomfortable...feels like how I imagine a heart attack feels. I guess that is the gas pain stuck in my chest. That pain is so uncomfortable I have no idea if my incision areas hurt. I plan to start walking tomorrow to help with that. Glad it's over and excited for this new chapter to start. Im 4'11" and a 1/2 and weigh 217. Started preop 234. Hoping that in no time Ill be in Onederland. I was 201 in 2010 for five seconds but I remember feeling better at that weight. Havent been below 200 in 8 years. ~ Nichole

Glad all done and hope gets better soon. Keep posting please. I'm close to you at 5'0" (was closer to 5'1" but not measuring me there anymore!). I was at 219 and think will go in at 210 tomorrow. Those were highs for me as I've hovered in the 190's for 8 years after kids.. Ready to get it going too:)

Chaos! Just rescheduled my surgery from May 23rd to May 9 because I have a mandatory conference in Florida the week of the 23rd. So I feel a bit rushed but I don't think I have the mental strength to wait til June. I'm only taking 3 days off from work because it's the busiest time of year at work and need to be there. Fortunately I work with Drs and nurses so if I fall over from pain or exhaustion I'm in a good place. Dr. Said its ok to fly 10 days post op. just worried about how do I travel that soon and stay on a liquid diet I can't travel with my vita mix help me! I'm feeling very overwhelmed!

I was banded April 4th. Including preop weightloss down from 264lbs to 237. But I have been getting progressively hungrier each day and have been stuck at 237 now for 4 days, even with a 90 minute bike ride yesterday. My first fill is in two weeks on May 4th. Can't wait to feel satiety again as the first 12 days post surgery were great.

So I go in in about 5 hours. I'm a little nervous, but mostly just want to get it over with, and healed as fast as possible. We are going to Hawaii for 10 days, 2.5 weeks from now, and I want to be well enough to shop and swim.

My info says 3 weeks post op, but I've been told that as long as I am healed well, I can swim.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
