Has Anyone Started Having Any Back Pain? Possibly Kidney Pain?

I've started having some low back pain on both sides. I cant tell if its my usual back pain (bulged disc) or if its kidney pain. I don't have any other symptoms of a UTI.

Could be gall bladder. Mine felt like a stabbing pain that went from front to back! Good luck, call your surgeon if it continues. Karen

I would definitely check with your doctor because like Karen wrote above it could be your gall bladder. But also - Are you drinking enough water/liquids? I was not getting my 64oz per day and I started to have kidney pains. Try increasing your fluid intake and see if that helps! Good Luck!

I was thinking it might be the water thing too. Trying to increase that and see if it helps. Thanks Ladies!

I am a year post op and am having a lot of kidney pain & UTI symptoms which come and go. Ive been researching this & found many people have this post op and it's almost always a result of dehydration.

I have had pain off and on in my right side more toward the back rib area since I had surgery. Not severe but more annoying than anything. I was told by my Lap Band doc that the only thing there was my gall bladder so he took it out..three years later I still get the pain.

I've increased my water and it has gone away. I must've been dehydrated.
