I was at the gym last night, 40 minutes on the elliptical and it stated I burned around 500 calories, so after that gym how long after do you burn more calories than you usually would?

My trainer says you continue to burn calories up to two hours after a workout.

My trainer told me that if you do 50 mins of cardio or more, your body will continue to burn calories when your bosy is at rest for 12 hours...:)

I always tell my co-worker who does not work out "typing burns calories!" we have desk jobs lol.

You should burn for a good 2-3 hrs after. If you want to burn through out night make sure your doing intervals. Also when your done working out dont come home and sit watching TV keep active for an hr or so afterwards like clean the bathroom pic up the yard ect....
