Fill Question For Men And Women

Recommended Posts

Im losing weight consistently actually started at 349 I'm at 276 in less than 5 months, but recently I've been getting hungry between meals more often faster more fiercely. I went to dr and had fill under fluoroscope, and doc said she added .5 cc I feel like she took 5 cc out!! I know she didn't but that's how I feel, have any of you ever recieved a fill and felt less restriction than you did before u went in? Any comments or suggestions are appreciated. I have 14 cc band with approx. 8.9-9cc. Thanks guys

I had my first fill some 3 weeks ago, a 10cc band and was given 4.2cc of fluid....I feel as if some days i could eat my arm and find myself at times eating a lot more than i should...So i scheduled my next fill because obviously i do not have any restriction, from reading these forums seems it takes many times to "get there"

I'm 5 months out and with my last fill 3 weeks ago, at first it seemed I was almost too tight. I got stuck more often but noticed I was able to eat less and wasn't hungry between meals. Did great at thanksgiving. For 2 weeks stayed under 1000 calories per day and was never hungry and didn't need to snack between meals.

Now, however, this week I have been getting hungry after 2 hours. Like stomach growling where people hear it hungry. Even when I get my Protein. Before lunch yesterday I already had 50 grams and was starving at 11:00.

Same thing today, had 30 grams protein for Breakfast at 6:45 and by 9:00 tummy growling like a bear. Struggling this week to stay at 1200 calories. Feeling hungry again between meals.

With this fill it seemed tight for 2 weeks and now loose for 2 weeks.

Hoping next week when I go back for my next fill, they can explain it. And hopefully get closer to green zone.

Good luck to you.

Under fluoroscope they can tell if something is wrong, so, don't worry about that. My fills always start out that way. I feel very little restriction until a week or 2 later. I also notice that when I'm stressed I tend to eat more than usual. In my case I don't understand this when I hear of others complaining that stress makes their bands tighter - go figure! We are all so different!!! Give it a few more days and see what happens. Hope this helps. jake

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
