Hi everyone, I'm having pain by my port and I'm hoping it's just the normal two weeks post op pain & not something I ate. I have been trying to stick to the purees: Tomato Soup, pudding, cottage cheese. Today I three SMALL bites of a whole grain baguette with my Soup @ Panera bread. I chewed really good but I'm worried that I messed up really bad! I also have plication with my band. Do you think I could've messed something up? Haven't felt his much pain since the beginning. It's the worst when I bend over. Thanks so much!

Heck, girl, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I had port pain for a good few months after surgery. Still, over a year out, I have random port pain. Sometimes after sex, my port hurts, sometimes after I work out, my port hurts, sometimes for no reason, my port hurts.

Don't stress about it. I'm sure everything is fine.

Ya I have port pain randomly too. You'd know if you messed anything up. Try jar to stick to your diet though. Ironically, that was the first thing I cheated with too! The bagette that comes with your Soup.< /p>

According to my nutritionist, bread is something we should really avoid, and liquid after bread is a

certain recipe for a stuck Lap band opening. I've tried it without any problems, but all the literature

says not to.

I've had a lap band for 4 years, and have lost 82 lbs. I still have port pain intermittently. When you get pretty lean (I'm size 8 now) your port is pretty obvious. I find it's easier to bump, etc (not as cushioned.) It's never been anything of any big consequence, just something I've learned to live with. When I'm constipated, it's especially bad.

I've had port pain for the whole 6 months since I was banded. Sometimes it's worse than other times. Hopefully yours is just that you're so close to surgery still :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
