Surgery is tomorrow in the DFW area. I have a lot of emotions, happy, scared, nervous. Just to name a few. Good luck to all and if I don't update in the morning I'll do it when I get home from the surgery.

Good luck!

I wish everyone going into surgery today, and the days to come, a safe and successful day!

I've been home 9 hours and still am exhausted but I'm walking and managing the pain with liquid Tylenol (loritab made me feel wonky!) and the bit of residual nausea with emetrol.

I've had about 4oz of Isopure Protein Shakes and 4oz of Water since I arrived home last night. I'm not hungry yet just slightly thirsty so far.

Happy Banding everyone!

Best of luck to all of you being newly banded. I am 8 days post op and I have made it so you can to! The thing you always hear about walking a lot is no joke. It really does help. If they give you pain meds go ahead ahead and take them. No point in being in pain if you don't have to. I gained a lot of Fluid weight after surgery but it came off in about 3 days. Also my blood sugar went up into the 270's but it also came down in about 2 days. Just some tips from my experience..............

My surgery is tomorrow! I will call this afternoon to get my exact surgery time, but I am way excited. I thought I would be more nervous, but I am just so ready for positive change that, so far, I am more excited than nervous. For the last month, I have really taken a different approach to eating foods and am happy with my emotional progress, as well as physical progress.

I am making a large pot of homeade chicken noodle Soup, so that I can drain the broth and have homeade broth instead of canned for the first little while, as I heard it tastes so much better. Then, the fam can eat the soup!

Countdown! (Pre-op~lost 8 lbs.)

I am going in tomorrow too! Have to be there at 730 am. I was wondering if anyone did before pics and measurements? I wish I had when I started the preop diet as I have lost 20 lbs on it so far, but I did my measurements a little over a week ago and again today and already see inches lost!

I have been keeping my measurements on myfitnesspal.com. I haven't taken any before photos as I feel I have a lifetime of them! LOL biggrin.gif

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
