My stomach is not too crazy about fills either.

I learned early on in the process that I needed to get very small fills(0.3-0.4 cc) and then baby my stomach for a few days afterward. When I hear the size of the fills some people get, I know that I would sick as a dog for 2 weeks.

As far as the reflux goes, if you aren't too tight, you should be OK in a week. If you aren't, you need to see your doctor and have some of the fill removed. To get through the first few days, I take prevacid and never eat anything after dinner.

I sometimes fill this way if I eat too soon before bed. I remember reading on this forum someone saying it is a good idea to clean out your pouch right before bed, as in drink a good amount of Water to flush it out. You won't get hungry before falling asleep so it is okay to flush it all down. Hope that helps! :)

Acid reflux is a main sign of being too full. If you're not hungry for 4-5 hours between meals then you're in your green zone.

Go and get a partial unfill. The acid reflux should stop. Ask your Dr. about using Prilosec OTC for a few months to help your stomach retrain itself by creating less acid.

Go and get a unfill. this has just happen to me and not a good feeling at night.

I had 6 1/2 and my dr took out 3 for 6 weeks so my band ( pouch) could heal. he also put me on shakes and soft foods for 6 weeks...so its not normal at all, kinda scary

I have heard of this happening, be sure to have your fills on an empty stomach, keep your intake soft on the 1st fill day, I'll use the protien shakes. Dont eat several hours before laying down. I have heart burn 24/7/365, I take ranitidine x 1 per day and that seems to keep my heart burn down quite a bit.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
