Hello,

I was banded July, 2008. When I sleep at night it feels like something is stuck in my esophagus. At first I thought I was eating to late, so I stopped that. It is toward the top and happens most night. Once I am up moving around it will go away.

Does anyone else have this problem?

This will sound gross, but it could be congestion. I get that a lot at night and worried about what would happen after the band. Now i just work harder to get it out as soon as I feel it. :cryin::puke:

I've started having the same problem and haven't been able to come up with an answer. My mom is a GI nurse and said it could be a sign of acid reflux, which I've also started getting recently. I have a doctor's appointment next week and am going to ask about it.

I have that problem but mine is all day and night. My surgeons office told me to see my GP about it. My band is not too tight it just constantly feels like a lump in my throat.

Hey guys I just read a post about someone who was feeling really sick and stuck and they couldn't figure out why for a long time..... finally they found out that she had a LOT of congestion, drained her and now she is good as new!

I was having bad issues at about 4:30am this morning with congestion as well. I am pretty convinced now that that is what it is... if that's the case, then the good news is it will probably go away! I wonder if they have Musinex kinda stuff that is not huge horse pills...?
