  1. I have had my band or 3 years now. I lost about 30 pounds, but I have gone back and fouth to the doctor to get fills and unfills. My band is very tight in the morning. I can sip Water, tea or Hot drinks. I am not to hungry until around 2:00 then, Iwill eat a Protein bar or something small. By dinner I am hunger and can eat anything with hardly any limitations. I try not to do that, but I could if I want to. Therefore, I dont think the band is doing what it is suppose to. I did go and get my band tightened a few weeks ago, but again (as it has been so many times) it was so tight I could not even sip a drink until 4:00 in the afternoon. I started getting sick ever day. I keep waking up in the night with liquid coming back up. I know it was to tight, so they removed what they put in. I was so thirsty in the morning that I tryed to get something done and it made me sick. Does anyone else have a very tight band in the morning. If so, what have you done to try and loosen it up.
  2. I don't think so. I take medication for the acid reflux
  3. Hello, I was banded July, 2008. When I sleep at night it feels like something is stuck in my esophagus. At first I thought I was eating to late, so I stopped that. It is toward the top and happens most night. Once I am up moving around it will go away. Does anyone else have this problem?
  4. I have to have a minior surgery under general anesthesia, and was told all my fluid must be taking out for any surgery. What would happen, if I or anyone was in a accident, and could not tell the hospital about the band? Just wondering what the affects could be.
  5. Hello all, I am having some real issues. I am extremly restricted the morning. When I get up I can take small sips of Water. After about an hour I can drink a cup of hot tea or fat free coco. I can't eat until 4:00 pm and most the time in comes back up. If I drink something hot before I eat, I seem to be able to eat a little better. By 8:00pm I am able to eat and drink without much problems. Does anyone else experience this? I was banded on 7/3/08 and realy have not lost weight. I had serveral fills and after everyone I had problems with restriction. At my last fill I now have 1.8cc. I am now losing weight, but worried about my restriction My doctor knows that I am very restricted in the morning, but they said that happens to some people. I worry about getting water in and the Protein.
  6. My sliders are all the above: cookies, cake, mochas. I can drink anything hot in the morning. I do have troble with cookies and cake anything in the morning. By evening I can eat anything. I eat salad all the time with turkey, chicken etc. in it for the protein. I just am upset because I have not realy lost any weight. Please anyones thoughts for suggestion would be appeciated.
  7. Thanks for the reply. I did tell the doctor about the port pain and he just said that is odd. I also told him about the restriction and he said he heard of that. I am suppose to get a fill on Monday so I will have to see what happens. I do exercise quite a bit. I just dont now what is going on.
  8. Hello all, this is my first post. I was banded in July of 2008. So far I have only lost around 15 pounds. I have hada few fills. Since my band, I have had great restriction in the morning and it seems to be getting worse. By the evening I can eat without troble. If I drink something hot it seems to help. I am worried because I am not losing much and I get this severe pain in my port area. please any help or advise anyone may have would be greatly appeciated.
