My Fitness Pal

Recommended Posts

I am wanting to look at what other bandsters eat on a daily basis just to get ideas of what I should be eating. My friend told me there was a way to look at what other people are logging, but you have to have their member name. Does anyone else use myfitnesspal.com that would be willing to "share" their meal plans?

I have just started being "religious" about logging meals this week, so my log is a little bare for now. I have had an account, but just started logging daily yesterday. My username is Lea3277

I just downloaded the app for my iphone and I set it up for 2 pounds a week. It says I can intake like 2120 calories a day with 30 minutes of exercise 4 days a week. Is that right? I am hoping to be cleared for the mushy stage on Thursday so I figured this could help with accountability btut 2120 seems like a lot of calories I guess.

I don't use their suggested calories...it just isn't practical for bandsters. You can set your own calorie level by logging in on-line and under the "My Home" tab choose "Goals" and then click "Change Goals". I have mine set for 1,200 calories.

You're welcomed to look at mine. Hopefully I have it set so you can see what I'm eating. I'm 2 1/2 wks post op, so still not the healthiest choices because I'm on mushies, but getting better. I update mine every day, I LOVE IT!!!! My user name is the same as here.

I'm on MFP too. You can friend me and look at my diary, but keep in mind that a few of the days I had way too many carbs and/or fat.

My username there and here is the same.

Hey, will you all add me? I'm luna02525 on mfp, too! I'm on day 1 of a 2 week liquid diet due to a stretched pouch though so it won't be too much to look at! Also, how do you make your diary public?

Hey luna02525.

I will add you, unless you've already added me :)

To make your diary public, go to settings, then look for diary settings...then find the box that lets you choose to allow your friends to see your diary. The default is private.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
