Still losing very quickly - no fill?

Recommended Posts

Your post is a total blessing to me. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. I do get 'head hungry' about 2.5 hours later, but that's my own psychological problem (I used to be a bigtime grazer) rather than actually being hungry. It does take about 4 hours to get stomach growling hungry.

I am so sorry to hear about your ankle! :( I'd be miserable... I really hope you feel better soon!

My ankle is actually well now! I was able to walk today! Thanks...I wish I was only getting head hungry, but my stomach is really growling and I try fighting it for like 30 mins (so that I dont drink), but by then I am really hungry, but I am able to deal with it! I guess I will see what my doctor says next Wednesday when I go! Congrats on all your hard work!

I went to my appt for my first fill 6 weeks post op and it was decided that I didn't need one. I did not have anything put in at the time at surgery either. I am now 2 months post and still feel the restriction. I know there are several people on here who didn't need their first fill until 6 months + after. If you don't need it, don't get it...but still go for your appt. Great job!:D

Wow Rozie!

That is so awesome and I am so happy for you, and I thought I was losing weight fast! You may not need a fill right now. I got 3.5cc within about one month and a half after surgery (2 different appointments because of a step scale). I had my Lapband surgery with gastric plication on April 11, 2011 and I am so amazed and glad that I have overcome the fear of having surgery. Because there is no way I could have lost this kind of weight on my own and this fast. Just to think that I was in a size 28 pants and 3-4x blouse, and now I am in 22 pants and 2x blouse. I am so happy with the way I look, my husband thinks I am HOT! I hope that you keep up the good work because you are doing great!!! :)

I'm scheduled to see the physician's assistant at my surgeon's office on Aug 4th, which will be 6 wks post-op. I've lost 27.4 lbs as of today, 20.4 of those pounds being post-surgery. Unless things change a lot in the next 2 weeks I plan to hold off on the fill. Sometimes I'm hungry only a couple of hours after I eat, but other times I can go 5 or 6 hours until I get hungry. Not sure why but I don't always eat on a regular schedule anyway. It seems like the less fill people have, the less complications they have, so I want to be conservative with fills.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
