Had my lap band placed yesterday

I had my band paced yesterday (day surgery)..had quite a bit of pain yesterday,,was trying to avoid narcotics, they make me nauseous..but broke down, started the dilaudid last night,,feeling much better today, still a challenge getting up and down. I am suppose to start full liquid tomorrow,, I hope it's not too soon. I am nervous about getting off my clears. I have no desire for the shakes I'm about to start. And dry mouth! Anyone else have extreme dry mouth after surgery?

But am thrilled it's over, I call this day 1 of my 'Life Changing Event' !!

Yes i know exactly what your talking about. I had surgery this morning and my mouth feels like I have a big piece of cotton in there to suck of all of the saliva. Well I dont! Ha Ha. I am sipping on Water as we speak but it doesnt seem to help much, hope you get to feeling better. Keep me posted.

I am day four and I love ice Water and ice chips. Its hard for me to do shakes or broth. Honestly, all I want is ice water but I force myselft to take the broth. I have had a lot of chest discomfort and gas. Also alot of pain on my left abdomen I guess from the belly button incision. How are doing with pain?
