Hello there, my surgery date is July 15 so I figured id better get started on some shopping, so when i got to the vitamin aisle i was overwhelmed with all the choices of protein powder and vitamins to choose from, could some one point me in the right direction,thanks!

I am still waiting for my surgery too, but I have been trying different ones to see which ones I like because I know I will be on a 6 week liquid diet (yum?).

I just go to the Vitamin store every week or so and try a few of the pre-mixed cans and plastic bottles they have. I am making a list of the ones I like and don't like. (I figure that the powders of the same brands will taste like the pre-mixed ones)

So far, I like Muscle Milk vanilla and Cake Batter; Oh Yeah banana and Cookies and Cream.

I just got a few bottles of Isopure which I can't wait to taste as they look more like a juice drink than the thick shakes.

check out the thread, "samples samples samples" - there's a list of places you can call/email for small sample sizes to try out products. Some are free, some ask you to pay shipping, but well worth it.

Thanks - will definately have to check that out. My surgeon's office is big on 'their' Vitamin ... which I did not buy.

slim fast low carb has 20 grams of protein and the chocolate taste pretty good to me.

My friend just recommended Jay Robb Whey Protein at GNC she said it was yummy.
