So, I had a fill on Wednesday of this week. I was fine until Saturday when I had a horrible "stuck" situation. I threw up like 50 times yesterday. It was awful. I am on my period so I know things can be tighter, but all I tried to eat was one bite of yogurt! I am worried about my band. I hope everything is okay with it. I got in for an emergency unfill tomorrow at 8am. I haven't eaten in tow full days and barely had any liquids and I am so weak. This is my second fill and the second time this stuck business has happened. I am very careful and eat slowly---chewing like a mad woman. I'm starting to worry that I can't tolerate fills. Has anyone else heard/had this?

Also I am still struggling with gas pain. Any suggestions?

Thanks, LB friends!

I can't tolerate big fills. I have seen some people on here that get 5 cc in one fill! That would hurt me! The first time I went in for a fill she put in 2 cc and I took a drink of Water instantly it had to come back up.

My nurse figured out pretty quick that I can only do little bumps. It took going every 4 weeks for 8 months before I had any restriction. I am a year and a half out and have 7 cc in my band.

I think you should talk to them and see if maybe you should get filled a little at a time.

I hope you get it figured out.

You may just need a small unfill; something like .2cc or so. A small unfill will let you keep your restriction but will help with being too tight. I'd say with your period + fill you're a bit too tight. If yogurt doesn't stay down that's a big sign, at least to me. Good luck; keep us updated and try to drink some Water. Dehydration is not safe.

Hot coffee or hot tea helps me when I'm tight.

I'm post-menopausal so I don't experience the hormonal shifts that others deal with.. I can't advise on that. But I know what you mean about being too tight for yogurt.. I had yogurt for Breakfast this am and had to stop and take a shower before I could finish it.. not that I threw up on myself.. but that I felt tight and sometimes a warm shower will help.

You didn't mention how much Fluid you received on your 2nd fill. My largest fill ever was 1cc. I don't need big fills to get results. Usually I get .2cc's, and occasionally I get .tcc's. (that's POINT 2 and POINT 5). You might be another one who needs to creep up on a fill. Sure, we have to go in more often, but the incidences of too tight/unfill are greatly reduced.

Hope you get some relief in the AM.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
