MyFitnessPal.com Members

Hi Everyone,

I am a fellow lap-bander (banded October '09) and I use MyFitnessPal.com to track my foods, exercise and weight loss goals. It's a great tool. Are any of you members? It is free, if you are interested.

If you are members or become members, what do you think of becoming "buddies" on this site so we can look at what each other eats and excercise, etc. for help and tips?

Reply here or PM me if you're interested. I can give you my email address and you can look it up on Myfitnesspal.com so we can be linked.

Be well,

Renee

So does anyone know why They have you eat the calories you burn on there? Can someone explain that please.

I know what you mean... I try to not touch those calories. Then sometimes I get a message that I'm going into a "starvation mode". Really? The rolls on my belly tell me different!!! Lol!!!

MyFitnessPal is wonderful. I love using that, and syncing it with my fitbit site as well. The sleeve, MFP and my fitbit are awesome tools for monitoring what I eat and making sure I am active enough every day.

I am susanelackey there if you would like to add me as well.

I usually just stick to my orginal calorie goal (not to exceed 1200 calories) and not use the extras. Occasionally, I will use a portion of them, but definitely not all of them. I burned over 700 calories the other day and I used about 120 of those extra calories. It just depends on my hunger level that day....

I would love to have buddies on my fitness pal! How do I find my username? Also it started me out with 1600 calories I thought that was to much so I went down to 1400.should I lower it to 1200?

I manually set mine to 1200 calories. Most of the time, I end up with around 1100, but I try not to go over 1200 unless it's my "higher calorie" day.
