My last meal was at Outback Steakhouse. I am not a steak eater, but I do enjoy babyback ribs. The weird thing is, I have been watching what I eat for so long now, I could not finish...I felt satisfied and stopped eating. I was going to only order 1/2 rack, but my significant other said...no get the full rack, I want some. He didnt eat any of them, I left more than 1/2 on the plate and I only took a few bites of my potato. I did enjoy a very small piece of cheese cake, which I also could not eat, I literally only took 3 - 4 bites of it. So long to that life and on to the new one. I thought I would be miserable, but Im actually feeling really up beat about it all so far.

Congratulations! I've got a 2 week diet, which I started today as well. My last meal was Olive Garden. Good luck on your journey!

I am not a coffee drinker, so no I am not drinking coffee. I got my caffeine from soda, which now I cant have. My intention is to just drink unsweetned ice tea. I do not get the satisfaction from it that I get from soda, but it has the caffeine I need givent he hours and life style I lead.

I am starting my 2 week preop diet on Friday. Are and of you drinking coffee?

Okay so yesterday was day1 of my pre-op diet. I kept to it all day, by the time I got home from work, I had a severe head ache and I was shaking like mad. I have never felt so hungry in my life. I caved and ate 2 hard boiled eggs, I felt a little better, but still shaky hands. I sure hope I can make it through my liquid died and not have to cave on some solids but I did not in anyway like how I felt yesterday.

So far today, have had about 24 ounces of Water, 32 oz of unsweetened fresh brewed ice tea, 8 oz yogurt, and now eating a bowl of Tomato Soup for lunch. The headache is already starting and I sure hope I dont have the uncontrollable shaky hands by the time I get home tonight.

Anyone else ever feel like this?

I feel like that. I also eat a hard boiled egg too. My doctor is not that picky about the liquids. I can do Protein shakes. The shakes make me wanna gag and they only keep me full for about hours plus they make my stomach updet. I think your headache might be from the sugar and carbo withdrawal. I get headaches too. If you like shrimp or fish make some of that and keep in the fridge. Shrimp cocktail makes a good snack to take the edge off and is packed with Protein.

I wonder if the Protein Shakes bother anyone else's tummy?

I felt horrible for the first 4 days of the pre-op liquid diet, the headaches were really bad, but i think that was just our body reacting to the drastic change, by the 5th day i was feeling much better. today is my 8th day and it only gets better everyday you will see.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
