Hello there and congrats to all of you future April Bandsters. I had my band placed April 29, 2010. It has been a wonderful, occasionally challenging, frustrating, joyful, self discovering and celebratory year for me. I found that the lapband was the best possible decision I could have made to regain my health and my life. I hope that all of you have as wonderful and successful year as I and others have had.

Your new life is about to begin. Do not be afraid; stay true to yourself; follow your instincts but ask for help when you aren't sure about things; give yourself time to learn how to utilize your new tool; allow yourself the chance to make mistakes without coming down too hard on yourself; don't forget that the band isn't a miracle cure because you are going to have to work at it, but most I think you need to remember to be proud of yourself, proud that this month you are doing something for you and you are going to take your life back.

Hi I am to have my band done on aril 8th now into the 7 th day of protien shakes or 9 lbs down, at times my stomach hurts and I have 12 days to go, I am nervous and worried, at times, I will be having my surgery in sarnia ontario and I am the one paying so, it is a big deal to me. you can email me at asullusk@rogers.com. I'm scheduled for April 19!!! It is getting close...and so real Extremely excited but also quite nervous right now.

I have been okayed for my surgery on April 5th, and it is fast approaching. I have been researching all of the Protein sources for mainly after the surgery so I will have a cupboard full and be prepared. The insurance i have is bcbs of tennessee, but I live in Texas..funny huh!

Mine is April 5th too. I have BCBS Tennessee and I live in Texas...small world!

My surgery date is April6... I am so excited and nervous at the same time!

Saw my surgeon last week and was told that I will probably be banded by the end of April. So excited!! Hope the decision from the insurance company does not burst my bubble. Staying prayerful and keeping my fingers crossed.
