Tonight was going good until I got these horrible stomach pains. I am on mushie foods. I encountered the "slime." I wanted to throw up so bad. I had a scrambled egg for dinner about 730pm. The stomach pains and nasty feeling started around 9pm. It is 1040pm and I still feel like crap. Of course I have every horrible senerio running through my mind. I had the heeves and slime twice. They were about 15 or 20 minutes apart. That was between 9 and 920... I just don't know what to think of it. I do have pains in my chest. I had pressure in my throat and the back of my toungue hurt. It was so wierd. Like I said I still feel horrible. I have the chills, I think that is nerves mostly. I feel dehydrated but don't feel like I can drink cause I don't think I could put anything in my mouth. I want to throw up cause I think I could feel better but nothing comes up. I don't think I have ever been stuck before. For all I know I could be experiencing that now. ?????? If anyone has any advice or anything please share.....

it sounds like the food is "stuck". some people can't eat eggs... you might be one of them : (

i think people take papaya enzyme pills that cut thru the stuck food. i've never tried it though.

walking helps... with the hands over the head too... to get rid of the tightness.

your band, i'm sure, is fine so try to relax about that but i know its scary!

I have no idea, but I am scared to eat scrambled eggs! I DO eat hard boiled eggs and have not had any problem with them.

I am going for a upper GI test tomorrow. I have been throwing up ior trying to throw up for 2 full days now. I have not had a fill yet and I went to see the surgeon yesterday and he took the 2cc out that he put in during surgery. He wants to check for possible band slippage. I am scared out of my mind now!

You said you're still on mushies? eggs of any kind weren't allowed for me until the soft foods stage. Could be too much too soon?

soft scrambled is on my list. So I am not sure what the deal is??

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
