Three Good Deals Today.....A Great Way to Start the New Year....

Recommended Posts

Today was a good Business Day....

1st) I have secured a 6 week exhibit of my Art Work at the Maumee Library Art Exhibit Hall from April 16th - May 31st 2006. This is a really good deal for me as this Exhibit Hall has received a lot of attention lately and I will be the 4th artist featured since they started exhibiting art there back in Sept. 2005. And what a good time.....Spring....when everyone will be willing to come out and play........

2nd) - This Big Deal is a response I finally got from the Cruise Line Talent Booking Agency that I have been trying to convince to give me a shot at doing Enrichment Seminars of the Cruise Circuit. Basically I would have to do two to three 45 minute seminars during a 7 day cruise and I would get paid and be on a cruise for free.....

I sent the lady a reminder email yesterday and today she replied asking for 4 lecture titles ...... I think I am about to get the fish to bite......

3rd) Today I received a letter from a Editor of a Magazine and they are going to publish one of my poems.....Recorded Errors. They want it for a special publication called Pyramid Poetry. It will be available in February. It is one of my favorite poems so I am glade to have it be published.

I love good days at the office......

Too fun. I am so excited.

Nancy

Wow that's fantastic! I'm in a different art vein than you, but looking to start getting stuff out there freelance style, and I can just imagine that you have to be almost giddy with all this stuff going on!

Good job!!

You are someone who is talented, organized, and able to market your abilities. I am so happy for you. Enjoy the cruise, bask in the attention from the exhibit, and recognize the long-term effects of having your poetry published and brought to many. Congratulations!!!

That's great!

I have a friend who is 4.5 months into a 6 month contract on Carnival Cruise Lines as a "Piano Bar Entertainer". He is wickedly talented and can play just about anything. He plays requests so people can sing along. He works about 5 hours a night, 7 days a week. He does get kind of tired of playing "Piano Man" over and over again, and of course the occassional obnoxious drunk person, but - this is the first time in his life he's been able to make a living just by playing the piano - his passion.

Except fpr missing his son terribly, it's not a bad gig.

Congratulation, that is so awesome! Where is the museum located? Maybe some nearby bandsters could take it in and show support! You go girl!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
