How many calories do you eat daily?

Hi Everyone,

I'm just wondering...now that you have the band, approximately how many calories do you eat in a day?

Thanks for the input!

I eat between 800-950 a day. Occasionally ill go up to 975ish but I try to stay around 900.

I try to NET between 800-1,000. That usually means 1,200 eaten minus 200 with exercise. Working so far!!!

I am 3 months out, and have had two small fills (very small),and I eat anywhere from 1200 all the way up to 1600.

I walk 30 minutes a day, and have averaged 10 pounds per month!

I count calories, I journal, writing everything down! If I exercise, how long, when I eat, etc.

Everyone says that you don't want to loose too fast or else your skin will be saggy:wink:!

800-900 TOTAL calories (not net); 80-100 g protein, <50 net grams carb. I exercise daily, as well--but don't correct for that; my body has enough reserve that I don't worry about the mythical starvation mode. (No risk of starvation here!)

No idea, I don't count them.

Ha ha Best answer yet!

Depends. If I'm not losing much weight in that week I'll go from 500-800. Normally though and more recently I'll go 800-900.

If I go above that then I don't lose weight. I exercise 4 times a week for an hour a day and 3 times a week at 2 hours a day.

So I do about 10 hours of exercise a week.

At the moment, I need a fill so I've been really hungry. Self restriction is a pain in the bum and drives me nutts.

could you tell me the conversion for Kg to pounds?

Wren,

I have some Aussie friends who have vegemite and timtams send to them on a regular basis. While I did enjoy the timtams, I am not sure that I would have them shipped that far.

I never understood the whole vegemite thing.

I eat about 1000 calories a day, sometimes 1200. I exercise 5 days a week which includes, brisk walking, the elliptical, and weight training.

Kelly- To translate kgs to pounds, multiply # of kg's X 2.2

Ahahaha. same. I hate both of them.

Tim tams are boring (really only good for biting each end and sucking chocolate milk through, but what chocolate coated biscuit isn't?) and vegemite is horrible. The new vegemite is better, I think, it's taste is less intense. I like Promite though (a variation of vegemite, it's yummier and doesn't taste like poison) with grilled cheese ontop. I of course, can't eat that stuff anymore anyways...But it's not a big loss to me

meat pies and sausage rolls are probably better Aussie food for taste - but they're so fattening, I'd keep away from them and they're only good with tomato sauce (ketchup).

I'm not a very good Aussie, am I?

Kilograms to Pounds (kg to lb) conversion calculator

There's a calculator there.

I've lost 13 kilos (28 pounds) in just over a month.

WOW, that is alot, it is so funky how the conversion is. Why would they do that to us? Any way very big congrats to you my friend (across the ocean)!

The only thing I know about vegi-mite is Lucille Ball did a whole episode about it a long time ago!lolololo

vegemite is actually yummy and really good for you, you just have to know how to eat it properly. You spread it very thinly - more a scraping than a layer . It tastes great on toast with a poached egg or with grilled cheese or whatever. And it's not really exclusively Aussie. In the UK and South Africa they have Marmite which is basically the same but made by a different manufacturer.

Now being a Brit I have never understood the Peanut Butter thing. So it all depends what you are brought up on.
