  1. I've seen the food ads as well...and thought the same thing. I just think of it as "yep, look at the crap I used to eat that brought me here..." I use it as motivation.
  2. Hi Everyone, I'm just wondering...now that you have the band, approximately how many calories do you eat in a day? Thanks for the input! Kiki
  3. I also loved the hundred reasons to lose 100 pounds...that's a keeper!! Thank you for sharing!
  4. I'm only 2 weeks into my 6-month pre-op lifestyle change. I got on the scale before opening up the bags of candy and saw I lost 15 pounds since I have started!! I noticed one snack size Twix had 80 calories - I put it back down!! No candy for me. (I'm so thrilled I could say no so early!!)
  5. Hi & Welcome! I'm kinda new to this too! I know for me I've made the right decision. I hope things work out well for you too!
  6. I'm a Pre-Opper, so can I join too! I plan to lose 30 more pounds by the end of the year!
  7. Yay!!! CONGRATS!! You look great! And must feel even better!!! Keep up the good work and get to goal!!!
  8. Hi Everyone, I am on the 6 month pre-op diet/lifestyle change. My program is having me count calories as well as servings of Proteins, veggies, starch, etc... Does anyone have to do this? The calculating the servings as well and figuring the calories is frustrating..... (for instance, I have no idea how many starches and proteins are in a lean cuisine.....) Thanks, Kiki
  9. My Dr.told me to stop the bc 2 months before surgery. We took precautions - well, 10 days before surgery, I found out I was pregnant!! So, surgery was cancelled and I have a beautiful little girl. I'm back on track for the surgery.
  10. I'll play along... 1. Wearing professional looking clothes to work again. 2. Shopping at ANY clothing store. 3. Being healthy for my little girl (and keep up with her once she learns how to run!!) 4. Not sweat all the time!!! (I HATE this one!) 5. I'm looking forward to the increase in self-esteem and all the compliments I'll be getting!! :blushing:
  11. My expectations are to lose 80-100% of the weight I need to lose. I am making huge dietary changes and adding in lots of exercise. The band will help with portion controll. I personally wouldn't accept only a 40% weight loss after having the band. I would make sure that it worked with me to meet my goals.
  12. I can't wait to go shopping! I'll be so happy to not be shopping from the "big girl" magazines!!!
  13. Oh I can't wait for this day!!! I will probablly just take pictures and GET RID OF EVERYTHING. I don't want any reminders! As a reminder for those donating, try to get a receipt that you have donated - you can claim clothing donations on your taxes!! :w00t:
  14. I will say that I'm totally a Pre-Opper! I'm only 4 days into the 6 month pre-op lifestyle change! I usually only come to the Post-Op page because I am here to seek information from the EXPERTS on how the band is working (to make sure I am making the right decision for myself). I like reading what to watch out for, what to expect, and mainly to READ EVERYONE'S WONDERFUL SUCCESS! I know on days when I need some extra support, I can come here and use the Post-Oppers as my support group - keep me focused on the goal. Sekinj~ I'm sorry you feel this way. I'm still hanging out on Post-Oppers page. Sorry!
  15. Hi Everyone, I'm excited, yet nervous! I am starting as of today, my 6 month process to begin this journey. I'm so ready for a change and a new healthy me. Yet nervous at the same time. I'm freaking out what the scale is going to say today........sigh! At least today is the worst it will ever be?? Right??? Kiki~
