Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift Tips

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I am finally granted my time off work so it is time to start preparing for my Tummy Tuck and breast lift in 8 DAYS!

Yes I know it is soon so I was hoping people can give me any tips for the aftercare, what I should do before to prepare my house etc.

Also any update pics of scars etc would be great. Thanks

Hi:

I wish I'd put a water-resistant, heavy duty mattress pad on my bed because one of my drains leaked on my new mattress, right through the mattress pad.

From reading your blog I know that you're planning only a very short time away from work. Make the best of the rest time you can get. Eat healthy foods and don't worry about working out and exercising. It will wait for your body to heal.

Take care. I look forward to hearing more about it.

Sue

Thanks Sue! Yes I am not planning much time off work but if i need to I do have more sick days just trying to avoid using them. Luckily I will be at the hospital a minimum of 3 days and might stay 5 just in case. I will see how I feel.

I will update my blog as soon as I get my vision back ( it goes really weird after surgeries). Thankfully I can do it from my hospital bed thanks to my phone

Hi:

I saw your blog today and you're freaking amazing at how you bounce back from things like this. You should really rest and take it easy because even though you feel great you need to give your body time to recover.

Take care and congratulations on your flat tummy with a little belly button.

I have to say that my belly button is one of my favorite things about my Tummy Tuck. Having previously weighed 324 pounds and having had a 8 1/2 pound baby, my belly button was wide and deep. My new belly button is tiny and I love it!

Sue you are so right about being tired, it hit me very hard while I was out and slept like a log on the train back home and then had another few hour nap once I got home. However if I am just at home resting it doesn't happen as bad.

Cher thanks for the compliment. My stomach is still really swollen so it will prob look different after a while. Since I just had a mini Tummy Tuck the pain wasn't bad at all.

I think the band surgery was more painful then this surgery. I was back on my feet faster after this surgery then I was after my band surgery for sure.

I was banded on Saturday Oct 9 and going back to work tomorrow Oct 14 so I took 3 days off work and had Sat and Sun to recover as well. I think I will be fine because I only have to work Thurs and Fri then have 2 days of rest on this weekend coming. However I did already say that I could have gone to work on Monday. It is nice though to actually have time to recover and rest at home after a surgery (my first time to be able to recovery after a surgery).

I'm about to change my bandages so I will post a new photo soon.

How did your breast lift go? I am getting implants and a lift in December.

My doctor changed his mind and said no for the lift. He said I should wait longer because my boobs changed so much since he decided I should have a lift ( we're talking a few months).

Now a month after surgery I'm glad I didn't have a lift because again my boobs are changing and I dont even want a lift anymore.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
