i asked my dietician about this since i'm a former WW gal myself and i was told no, No, NO! not to focus on points but to focus on amount of protein and carbs instead.

Somewhat off topic; but when I went in for a fill I told the nurse that I thought I was'nt not eating enough calories. She was very adament that it was all about measuring protein and not counting calories.

I asked the nutritionist ystrday too.

She said no WW. Just concentrate on the Protein and veggies and eating healthy.

She said that you won't be able to eat that much anyway. She also said to stop the Protein shakes and to concentrate on getting my protein from real food.

I don't see the harm in following the plan if you need to though for some structure. I think I may do that.

However, after having a fill ystrday I'm only at 3.5cc but I'm really not hungry. I'm expecting that feeling to go away soon though.

My doctor also said to not count calories, but to do this plan in a book called Eating for Life by Bill Phillips. I'm sorry, but that book confuses me and I read it from cover to cover. I have to count calories. It's easy. I use my bodybugg and all it comes down to is basic math. Sorry doctor! (I don't tell him I'm counting calories though.)

I have a body bugg also! I used it for awhile and lost about 15 pounds. I find the web site to tally the calories though quite annoying! WW site is so much easier and better. I liked th ebug to help me see how active I have been for a day and as a reminder to get my butt in motion. It just got annoying also to wear the band on my arm all of the time. I stopped wearing it and wnet back to WW and I am now counting points. It is so hard for me to imagine life without focusing on a diet or some food plan like ww even after the band..
