Seeing the Doc in the morning!

My Primary Care doc thinks Lap-Band is a great idea, so she referred me to the WLS specialist... I see him in the morning ;-) I have read tons of great posts on this site and really look forward to getting my life back. I am 35 and very confident in myself, however I eat entirely too much food. Changing that one thing will make an incredible difference in my life. I am really excited and looking forward to my future.

I'll let you know what he says...

OP here... I am so upset. I went to the doc and he said my insurance only covers gastric-bypass ;-( He was very anti Lap-Band. He was pretty negative about anything except bypass surgery. He sid Lap-Bnad doesn't work - but I see so many people on here with amazing results!

I'm pretty bummed.

Wow.. That's horrible.. Maybe you can be referred to another DR that considers your desires as well as his own.. Stay positive.. Things seem to always work out in the end..

Call your insurance provider and see what they have to say. There may be some hoops to jump through, but there may still be hope, especially if your pcp is on board. Good luck!
