OP here... I am so upset. I went to the doc and he said my insurance only covers gastric-bypass ;-( He was very anti Lap-Band. He was pretty negative about anything except bypass surgery. He sid Lap-Bnad doesn't work - but I see so many people on here with amazing results!
I'm pretty bummed.
My Primary Care doc thinks Lap-Band is a great idea, so she referred me to the WLS specialist... I see him in the morning I have read tons of great posts on this site and really look forward to getting my life back. I am 35 and very confident in myself, however I eat entirely too much food. Changing that one thing will make an incredible difference in my life. I am really excited and looking forward to my future.
I'll let you know what he says...
Hi ArmyWives,
First of all, I am very sorry for the loss of your father.
You don't know me, but I just looked at your pics and you are very pretty and totally inspirational. I am going to see the doc next week about getting banded and I am totally excited about it! I can't wait to start my new life.
Thank you for writing the blogs - keep it up!

hang in there!! I wish I was on my way to get surgery... I am still in the planning stages. And of course it is emotional... take a few deep breaths and put it in perspective. It is only food. Think of all the great things you will be able to do if you had less body to haul around! I just keep thinking of riding roller coasters and wearing high heels And running around the park with my son, and being able to go down the slide at the park... No food tastes that good.
I wish you the very best and you are not alone.

Hi I'm JoJo and I am seriously considering getting banded. I am 35 with a 4 year old son. I don't want my son to grow up with a Fat Mom. I want to be able to do lots of fun, exciting thing with him as he grows up and not have my weight limit me. I am 5' 11" and 330. I am ready for change.
