I don't think it's related to my band but I feel horrible...

The last couple of days I've had indigestion so bad. I've had it like all day long. Today the indigestion is gone but I'm STARVING. I swear I can't get full no matter what I eat and I'm weak and shaky.

What's the deal?

I was weak and shaky at first too. You need to make sure you are eating enough protein. I ate a lot of tuna salad and crackers. That helped with the hunger and it is a great source of protein!

at what stage can you start crakers?? I'm on the mushy stage and can eat the tuna salad but not by itself that's why I havent had any yet...

I think it was like week 3 that I was able to start eating crackers.

You know I've been barely hitting my daily protein requirements. I had a hysterectomy last week and just didn't feel like eating much. I guess I should add some shakes back to my routine now.

I am well onto solids, but have been feeling like general crap the last 3 days. I also have had indigestion the last couple of days, everything I eat is just "sitting". Not stuck, but sort of 'in my throat'. I also have a cold/allergies and got my period. (which I should not get due to my birth control). I wonder if all this along with the malaise is related????

I was able to eat melba toast at about week 4. There also is something in this are called BIMBO breads. They make a lot of stuff, but have already toasted white and wheat in packages. It worked well with a little soft speadable stuff.

Good Luck!

Maybe it's something related to my period? They left my ovaries and my period would have come any day now.

I definately think that TOM can cause restriction. The days before my first period post banding I stayed full longer than the days prior.

TOM and colds/virus are notorious for affecting restriction. it often follows that the week before and during make it tighter as does any cold etc. i was always like this and now on combined HRT the pattern has stayed the same. On the bright side, i have avoided the weight gain sometimes seen with HRT

Amanda , do smaller meals and add in a protein shake or two.

I had to find this post b/c guess what? I feel the same way again. Weak, starving, shakey, indigestion.

Apparently it is just related to my monthly cycle. Because it was almost 4 weeks ago when I originally posted this. At least now that I know what it is I know it will also pass. I just have to stay strong and NOT eat.

Our fat stores more toxins than other tissues and as we lose it they are getting released. I am sensitive to this and if I lose too fast I feel sick, as if I have a virus or cold. Drinking water helps flush things faster if I am already feeling bad. Maybe that is contributing to you feeling so bad too?
