Tightness after fill 6 wks ago!!!

Recommended Posts

This is a little strange but I had my 2nd fill 6wks ago and this past week I really had a hard time getting down food, I felt stuck twice last week, is it normal that I would feel that way so long after my fill. I am actually due for another fill this Friday. I was on vacation last week and kind of fell off the wagon for a few days, does that have anything to do with it.

My last fill was the end of January and for some reason I've had to have THREE defills since then. This is only my experience but it does seem like the band can get tighter on its own.

I've continued to lose steadily. And if I got to where I was having problems eating or experiencing severe acid reflux, I went back and they took 1/2 a cc out.

So, it is possible but I don't know how common it is. I'm beginning to think of my band as a boa constrictor :-)

I had a fill in April and two months later I started having "stuck" episodes - I had to have a 1/2 cc taken out. Such a difference.....(relief) It has now been two months and I go next week and I am going to have the 1/2 cc put back in.

I wonder what would cause the band to tighten on it's own? I have only had one fill and I am not feeling any restriction yet. I would be nice if it would tighten up without another fill.

It seems to have a mind of its own!!!!! I have no clue what made it tighten I did go off my diet a bit when on vacation but why would that make it tighter!!!HMMMM

I got a fill at the first of May and had to have a slight unfill 6 weeks later because it suddenly got way too tight. They only took out .3cc, but it made a huge difference. I was actually having sharp stabbing pains anytime I ate or drank anything. The Dr said he's seen people who haven't had a fill in over a year suddenly get too tight.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
