I am so excited!!!!

I can not wait to embark on this journey with each of you!

Hugs,

Jane

CONGRATS!!! I can not wait until I am in your situation that I can say I got approved. Still waiting...

Hi everyone!

I'm scheduled for October 5th. I started my 2-week diet today, but mine seems much different from everyone else. I have 2 Protein Shakes per day (breakfast and snack/dessert) and 2 small (lo-fat, lo-carb, high protein) meals per day. So I get real food and don't have to rely on just shakes. I feel so fortunate, but I also feel so bad for all of you that have to take that route.

Getting anxious, but I know time will fly by and I will be in and out of surgery in no time.

Hi Everyone...Well much to my surprise I received my approval today. That was much faster then I expected. Most of the pre-op people I have been reading about are on 2 week liquid pre-surgery diets. My Dr. does not require that. I am dieting now but eating normally and I only have a 2 day clear liquid pre-diet. Could you guys tell me what your pre-surgery diet is. My surgery date is October 18th. I am feeling very excited at the prospect of being thin once and for all. I try very hard to be selective about what I read on this website though. Some of the bad stories of slippage etc. can get a little scary... Lets hope for the best for all of us!! Looking forward to sharing our war stories..:rolleyes2:

All I can think about is the surgery. My date is October 29th. Hope I can do a 10 day liquid diet. The only people I have told is a couple of close friends (one of which had this done) and my mom. I am afraid to tell my sister becuz she had gastric bypass 5 years ago, and still suffers symptoms (throwing up) and I think she is going to be negative about this when I tell her. I HAVE to tell her though since she is my ride to the hopsital. WHat do I DO?????

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
