August Rush in bandland!

I had my first fill on Aug 23.

I'm not really all that hungry. I can only eat 1/2 - 3/4 cup of food now, so I don't know how it will be once I get my second fill. It actually worries me.

If I didn't force myself to have something before 1130, I probably would skip Breakfast all together. Today, I had a shake around 830, and I got busy. Looked up, and it was 2 PM. I hadn't had lunch or a snack, and I wasn't even hungry. I don't start to get "hungry" until around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Don't know how much of that is head hunger or body hunger.

Geez, I hope I have the same reaction.....I am a creature of habit and eat at the same time during work....I hope I work right through like you did!

Hey there, I'm just jumping in to post...I realize I have really just been NOT HERE! I've been so busy starting school that I haven't had a chance to keep up....still losing about one to two pounds a week and happy not to have gained during one of the more stressful times (School starting:)). Exercise has really been working for me (now up to running 1.5 miles with a little walking thrown in before and after the run) and I'm eating PRETTY well (not perfect) but okay.

I was wishing I would lose volumes of weight at first but now realize that is not the case. I LOVE that I weighed two pounds less this week! I feel like I ate so much but really it was just regular and never do I gain like I did. Feeling great and happy!

Hey, Jen. Good to hear from you. Glad things are going well. I get my fill on tuesday - finally!! I have been eating way too much and it's depressing! lol.

Have a great evening!

I finally feel like I've made it over the hump. The hump where my body was wanting to know what in the world I had done to it, so it was holding onto every calorie that I ate.

Lord I've had a terrible day today. The kind of day that normally makes me turn to food but guess what? I'm not that hungry so I skipped the food:) I am having supper of course but no crazy emotional binges for me:)

Got my fill by the DR. he apologized to me and i accepted. He came in just for me. He showed his nurse that sometimes it will be at a angle . He stuck me only once and got it 2CC's. How many cc's did all you first fill people get?

My surgeon does 3-4 for the first fill. I had 3 already from surgery so he gave me one more for a total of 4cc's.

I'm glad they got it but that doesn't seem like much. Did you have any in there already?

I got 3.5 ccs with my first fill. They put in there as much as your band will let them. They do it under fluro every time. They did say that each time you go back in for more, that you usually only get half of what you had the previous time. On Thursday, I'm expecting to get somewhere between 1 - 1.5 ccs.

I had 3 ccs put in during surgery and my doctor gave me 3 more for a total of 6 ccs now. I had restriction the days after my fill and still feel some restriction now but I think I will need another fill next month.

Glad things went better for you this time Beachbunny.

I had 1.5cc put in at surgery and then the PA put in 2cc at first fill.

She says I'm now btwn 3.5-3.8cc so I guess there is a drop or 2 more in there.

I feel some restriction now but I'm looking forward to my 2nd fill.

The way I'm feeling now I think I may hit my sweet spot sooner than later. Hopefully

I swear it is like my body has finally said fine. I've lost 12 pounds in the last 2 weeks. I was so excited. I can actually see a difference, and I felt my hip bone this morning when I was laying down. It didn't have a lot of fat around it.

Not only that, I was actually able to wrap a beach towel around me, and it overlapped.

Amazing what makes us happy.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
