What are you most looking forward to after banding?

There are so many things I'm looking forward to:

Finally losing the weight for good

Getting off my blood pressure meds

Getting off my C Pap machine

Having less pain in my knees

Being able to run and keep up with my kiddos

Not sweating so much

I'm so excited about this journey. When I went to my pre op appt yesterday I was a little nervous b/c well doctors make me nervous. But I left there feeling great. The staff is so nice and they are very, very excited for all their bariatric patients. They had nothing but good things to say and I just felt completely at ease. Even my surgeon spent a good amount of time with me answered all my questions completely and honestly and he has a great sense of humor. I hate stuffy doctors. I'd rather have someone that will laugh with me.

I'm so ready to go!!

Looking forward to:

buying clothes at a "normal" store...

not sweating so much...

wondering why I'm broke before seeing multiple dunkin donuts and mc donalds charges on my bank statement...

HAVING KIDS... (main reason for doing this!)

being able to walk up 2 flights of stairs without gasping for breath...

being able to walk up 1 flight of stairs without gasping for breath!!!

Not feel so self-conscious in public...

I just want to be healthy. We want to start a family but it's too risky being so heavy-- he's already told me he won't unless I'm healthy weight because he's terrified of the complications. I agree.

The bonus of not wearing plus sized clothes is a good one too!

Being healthy and resolving my health issues

Getting off of certain meds

Not hiding from the world anymore

Be able to buy clothes without having to try on a hundred things

Energy

Be me again

I want to LIVE!

I live in a beach community, I would love to feel good in a bathing suit.

not being out of breath!

My kids think im great heavy or thin, but id love to be in shape and be able to run around more with them.

To go back to my former office up north when i visit , and parade around in front of one of my former employees(who was vicious) and just smile!

Jennifer

I'm looking forward to:

  • feeling healthy
  • getting rid of pain
  • having more energy for my kids and husband
  • not feeling self conscious in public
  • not covering up my bathing suit
  • smaller breasts
  • my legs not touching
  • cleaning out my closet of 5 different sizes
  • not cutting the size out of my clothes (because I'm embarrassed if my tag shows!)
  • looking pretty for my husband
  • being more comfortable in smaller spaces, like plane seats and amuzement park rides

Amen to that! I don't know what size some of my pants are. My shirts are now tagless so there's no hiding that:(

I'm not looking forward to my boobs shrinking though. I kinda like em the way they are:)

Here is what Im looking forward to:

~Feeling comfortable in my own skin

~Being healthier

~Having energy to get outside and play with my boys. They are 5 and 3 and I feel like I've wasted time already because I havent been able to be the mom I wanted to be for them because I my weight and depression.

~Being able to shop in normal stores

~ SKINNY CLOTHES

~not being embarassed getting on an airplane

~going on rollercoasters when my boys are old enough

Im sure there is more but Im feeling a little loopy from the pain meds!

It may be silly, but I can't wait to take my kids to Six Flags, and Disneyland!!!

Right now, I'm looking forward to a pickle.

In all seriousness though, I can't wait to ride on rollercoasters again. Looking forward to the Seabee Ball in April, and knowing that I'm going to be looking good in a formal dress. Playing with my kids without getting tired.

I also want to renew my vows and wear a totally gorgeous wedding dress when Im skinny!

I know i'm only 20 but U picture myself in such a beautiful wedding dress, in fact I want to be on the show Say Yes To the Dress. So look out for me in a few years!

Also, being able to go out in confidence without secretly thinking people are talking behind my back is going to be amazing!

* being able to shop in a regular store ( and having more than one thing to wear "out" )

* being in the pictures instead of just taking them

* getting on the rides with my kids instead of watching while my husband rides with them.

* not being emberrased to go out

* having more energy

* running my first 5K ( or at least a light jog lol )

I'm looking forward to...

Getting rid of the pain in my back and joints.

Being able to climb stairs without feeling like I'm about to die.

Not sweating so much!! (Texas is not a place for a fat girl!)

Being able to get on the floor and play with the kids without needing a crane to get me up.

Being able to run with the kids for more than a few minutes at a time

Being able to jog on the treadmil for more than 30 seconds

Feeling like I'm not going to break the treadmill when I jog

Not being so embarrassed to leave the house every day

Being able to shop anywhere EXCEPT the "Woman's" section of the department stores

Feeling like I am 35 instead of 105

I had my first son at 18. Prior to that I was a teenage work aholic. Time with friends was minimal and when we did hang out we never went to like the beach or anything.

Now I have 2 kids 7 and 3 and we go to the beach and Water parks and everything.

With that being said I CANT WAIT TO BE ABLE TO WEAR A BIKIN FOR THE FIRST TIME:redface:

Even more so than that

I CANT WAIT TO BE COMPLETELY NAKED AND FEEL EXCITED, COMFORTABLE, AND ABSOLUTELY FAB-U-LOUS !!!

In front of anyone, yes I said it. that feeling of not caring who sees because you know everything is in the right place (not too much and not too little)
