Good luck to everyone who will be banded in the next few days. I already, after just six days out, think it was the best thing I've ever done (except marry my husband!). You'll do great.

My3lilaggies -- I was often "head hungry" on my pre-op diet, but not so much "stomach hungry". On Clear Liquids, 48 hours before my surgery, I was not very hungry. I'm just now getting hungry again -- and just now dealing with "head hunger". I think I've entered Bandster Hell.

kellyodoran -- I have lots of options, now that I'm starting to get hungry. I'm trying to stick to the three meals a day that the doctor recommends, but that's just not going to happen for me at this point. Thanks for your suggestions. I'm off to have a no sugar added fudgesicle!

Well all my fellow rushers, I had my first "incidint" this morning! I allways start the day with my protien (get it out of the way)..... Then I take my Vitamins (get that out of the way too). Well I had been taking one tiny multi, and two Calcium. I forgot and took a big multi. So I took two one right after the other and boyah! I got stuck! Started to burp alot and then the next thing you know i.....slimmed! WOW! What an experience, just a whole bunch of clear stuff! My pills did not come up or anything! Other than that, all has been well in my neck 'o' the woods.

My surgeon put me on an adult chewable Multi-Vitamin and chewable calcium, so Vitamins haven't been an issue for me. Sorry to hear about your sliming! Hope you continue to do well!

First off...Good Luck to all you that are going in this week for surgery.

I went in for a post-op check today, and they did an unfill. Seems that not being able to "eat" yogurt and liquid Soup is not normal. I guess I'm having a duh moment. The unfill wasn't bad, and I go back on the 23rd for a fill. Get to start eating mushy foods today, and I can't wait to chow down on some tunafish. Never thought that tunafish would sound so good. I have lost 11 pounds in the last 2 weeks, so I'm not complaining.

Hey Shadena ,

You're almost there. I'm glad you made it through.

That pre-op diet tis the worst but you can pat yourself on the back that you did your best and got back on the horse.

I saw a cute vid on YT where this lady said she knew from the start she wasn't going to stick to no 2 wk liquid diet so she never even attempted to do it . She just low carbed and did well. She's now at goal and I love her vids. She is so happy you can feel it.

I hope we all have the same result.

I had my pre-op testing today. I was very nervous about it for some reason but now it's over and I'm counting it down now until the 16th.

Dee

I'm going to the other site to post my experience today.

Please be sure to check in and let us know ASAP how everything went. I'll be thinking about you.

Tomorrow is my post-op appointment. I guess I'll find out when my first fill appointment will be then. Since I'm already experiencing a bit of Bandster Hell, I hope it's soon!

I'm getting banded Wed, the 11th, and I'm stressed and nervous but excited too. I just want this part to be done with and to get on with the rest of my life. It will be so much better when this big "surgery" isn't looming out there. Will Thursday ever come?

I'm starting to "cheat" and eat things that are not actually on the "full liquid" plan. I hate that because I'm usually one to follow the rules, but I'M HUNGRY! Hopefully, they will let me advance to mushies early. I'm not counting calories, but maybe I should. I think I'd be shocked!

Hi everyone! I've been lurking for a while on this site, but am now scheduled to be banded next Monday, August 16.

I'm nervous, excited, terrified, and ready to start my new life! I look forward to sharing this journey with you all! :(

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
