There is barely any appetite for the first week post-op.

It's a weird feeling having to force yourself to eat just to get your Protein in.

OMG, I sure hope it's easier! I'm on day 8 of pre-op diet...it is so hard! When is your surgery? I have to stay on clear liquids for 24 hours after surgery, then go to full liquids for 2 weeks. That's sounding good right now. I would rather have slmfast and homemade smoothies than all this packaged stuff I have to stay on now!!!!

Everyone's experience is different but I got a good 8 weeks post op where I just wasnt that interested in food. I really had no trouble sticking to the routine and lost huge amounts of weight.

Not to scare you. Everyone is different. Post op

surgery I was hungry 3 days after surgery and Liquids did not do the trick.

I found what help was yogart, sugar free pudding, and about day 8 I was so hungery I scrabbled 1 egg and ate that slowly... FYI Becareful with eggs some people can not handle eggs after surgery. Also a friend who had the lap band a while ago told me about putting Peanut Butter on a spoon and lick it off let it melt on your tongue. that really worked held me for awhile from being hungery.

hope that helps
