  1. Not to scare you. Everyone is different. Post op surgery I was hungry 3 days after surgery and Liquids did not do the trick. I found what help was yogart, sugar free pudding, and about day 8 I was so hungery I scrabbled 1 egg and ate that slowly... FYI Becareful with eggs some people can not handle eggs after surgery. Also a friend who had the lap band a while ago told me about putting Peanut Butter on a spoon and lick it off let it melt on your tongue. that really worked held me for awhile from being hungery. hope that helps

    No restriction

Wow!!!! And I thought I had problems. I had my surgery March 19th and had my first fill May 12th there was no I have to wait to lose 35 lbs first. If you could do it all by yourself you would not need the surgery. My Issue is my Nutrinest wants a little more added to my band but my Dr's office wants to go very slow. From my fill I dont feel any restriction at all; its funny I felt more before my fill then I do now. I cqn honestly say this fill Hell is for the birds. I would check around see if you can get a second opion and maybe change Dr's.
  3. Well Surgery was March 19, 2010 the begining of the whole new me. Didn't realize the diffrent people and their thoughts about weight loss surgery. Its's funny even thought I did not tell them they feel to give me there opion. Oh Well!!! Did it for me, Not for them. Well I'm about 14 lbs down from Surgery day and can not wait til I get to my sweet spot. Even thought I eat alot less then what I ever ate but I did not realize how my mind thinks about food even when I'm not hungery I still want to chew on something. I really thought it was only me til I was talking to a lady at the Dr's office right after my fill she made alot of since even though we eat less our minds are still the same... Well I'm excited , I had my first fill yesterday and the first thing came to mind here we go again Liquid diet... I hate Broth...LOL!!! Well as I keep telling myself, one day at a time. Wish they could have put more in the band, but since I haven't eaten real food I don't know if I'm going to feel it or not. I didn't feel a thing when the PA did my fill.

    What are you eating???

Hello I was Banded on March 19th patiently waiting to be filled but I find that I have been very well with working out about 3 to 4 times a week. Mainly Cardo Because my Nutri. wants me to stick to that for a little while to work on getting the weight off. I'm ready to go back to Lifting but I will be patient she knows best... ((I guess...LOL)) I have been doing a smoothie in the morning I find I like making my own. Whole Cup of Greek Yogart 14g protian 4 Strawberries half of banana sometimes I add Mange 1 scoop little over whey powder 15g protian 3 Ice Cubes splash of milk sometimes soy just to get the blinder moving. yumm very tasty and fills me for about 3 hours Then sugar free pudding or Protian bar for snack lunch Half of chicken salad wrap or Tuna or Turkey dinner Baked Chicken or ground turkey patty and some String Beans, or little Mash potato, Or Sometimes for Breakfast I change up with Eggwhites with cheese and mid day snack package of oatmeal hope this helps a little still looking for foods to eat. I know it will all change once real Restriction starts.
  5. My Nutritionist told me to try Papaya pills that also helps if you get stuck. It is like the stomach enzymes and helps to break the food down faster. I tryed it the other day and it really works. I bought the pills in the Drug store right where the Vitemines are sold.
  6. I'm Down for the challenge. I'm newly banded have not had a fill yet. eating mushy foods. So Im going to challenge myself to 10lbs. Starting weight 225
  7. Hello, I am 16 days Post Op. and I understand the starving I feel I almost went crazy by that time. I ended up adding Yogurt and I did break down on day 6 and scrambled and egg and eat it slow. I found that helped a lot. Also my girlfriend who had the surgery told me to try spoon full of peanut butter and lick it and let it melt on my tongue. That took the edge of a whole lot. hope this helps
