I ran into my general GP at the local store the other day and she could see the weight loss and I was beaming icon_razz.gif with happiness she was really overjoyed for me I told her I was waiting to loose a bit more before I came to see her so I could surprise her, she said wow !! we will soon have you off all your meds...lol.. I think I wan`t to stay on them for a while yet (anti depressanta/High B.P and Cholesterol) , but will go see her in a couple of months to have blood tests done again......

Well I am off to the shops this beautiful sunny Saturday morning , pick up a cake for tomorrow (mothersday lunch here with the folks and my one son who is around) will take a look at some size 18 jeans for me too ..I feel like aggy baggy in my size 20`s but will keep wearing them till they are too bad I just need one or 2 pairs of smaller ones to go out in..lol..

Hugs ...Marion

Hi

Sounds like you had a get Mother's Day and you are looking very good.

I had a rather busy Mother's Day. My mother, who is 86, lives in a retirement home and they called me at 1:30 a.m that she fell and she was going to the ER at the hospital. So, I got up and went to the hosiptal and spent the day there wiht her. She was admitted and they are trying to find out why she is dizzy and her neck in hurting. However, all was not lost for the day. I did get to talk to my son, who lives near Washington DC, and my daughter, who lives in Southern Illinois who sent me beautiful roses.

Hope you, and everyone has a good week.

Karen

Oh ! Karen thats not good about your Mom at all..I hope your Mom is o.k ..

My Mum is 87 and is wheelchair bound after a stroke 3 years ago , my 90 year old Dad still cares for her , my sister and I cook some good meals for them and Dad manages Snacks and microwave meals on the odd day, My sister also cleans for them and Mum has a nurse come in to help her bathe..

I take them to do their banking /shopping and doctors appointments ..we are lucky to have them live just down the road from us , we talked them into moving closer about 12 years ago before that it was 1.5 hours drive and we would not be close enough in emergencies like we are now....

(HUGS) and prayers for your Mom coming from across the miles.....

Have a Good week...

Happy Mother's Day marion and friends! Sorry I'm a little late on the well wishing! Sounds like you had a lovely day!

Looking GREAT there girl! I see the difference just from your photos. Saw that your GP noticed as well! Now THAT must feel great! To have someone else notice! Well done!

Finally have my appointment to "meet" my surgeon on may 28th. Hoping to get a surgery date then! Keep your fingers crossed for June!! The waiting is so hard. My BMI is just above 40, so I can't lose any weight in order to qualify for the surgery!! Never have I ever been told NOT to lose weight!! Quite a change!!!

Anyway, enjoy the week and I'll catch you in a few days.

Tracy

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
