Well, T.G.I.F , but We woke up to about 8" of snow and it will snow more today and tomorrow. My grandson's school is closed, so he will be spending the day with me. I hope this is the last snow. I am so done with it!

Oh geez, the news just said my area is going to get 12".

Oh Anne! I am so happy for you! Only a month away! The time will fly by.

HB-Snow? Holy crap, OK come on down and stay with us in Texas, its raining but its going to be 80 here today, then high 70's and low 80's for the next week.

Christie--Congrats on the BMI category change! Who the hell decided to call it morbidly obese anydamnway?

Chick--Good job on the inhaler, it will definitely make your life easier. Your so brave to take the genetic tests, I just cant face them.

I'm still stuck on the same number, but I will probably have lost a pound by tomorrow, I have gotten to where I can feel it. (strange I know) I am going to declare my intention to be at goal weight on July 4th. On Independence Day 2010, I intend to be free of the excess weight that I have been carrying for the last 16+ years. As a matter of fact, I think I will add that to my signature.

Have a great day everyone!

No word yet from the douch at sears optical. That was Monday! LOSER

I cant wait until the 5 of may - going on a scrapbook retreat for 5 days! Its at a resort in Minn. Lake, pool, hiottub, private cabins, meals served, golf, etc... its called Fair Hills Resort - sooo beautiful. we go there twice a tear ( spring and fall ) for these. Have any of you scrapbooked your journey??

I am. I saved all my paper work from pro op , classes, post op , and wrote my weight and nsv's in my calendar and transfered them. I have tons of before and progress pics. I figure the first 2 years are the most important. Its so cool to look at. I think WTF! Was I really that big?? I didnt feel like i was. I cant get over the difference. It makes me feel so proud to show it to others.

Ok, kittens crawling up window screens !!!! Gotta go ! ttyl

I had a great day yesterday! A NSV, but it had nothing to do with my own weight or size. I have a stepson who has refused to have anything to do with me for the last year and a half, and he came with his wife and 4 wonderful grandchildren to spend the day with us. We all just let a lot of old baggage go, and it feels so good!

Cold and rainy today. Oh well. The elliptical it is.

Truly thanks for the cheers and support!

Anne-- congratulations on your date!!! I'll be counting down right along with you! How wonderful! I was so happy to read your NSV today as well. You must be on top of the world right now.

Christie--woohoo! I despise that morbid word---MAJOR kudos to you for the bmi category change!!! What a terrific milestone!

Bobbie--have a blast at the retreat. I used to love scrapbooking. Now it seems with 2 kids, 2 jobs, 3 dogs and a husband that's always working, I rarely have time to brush my teeth or shower these days LOL. I hope you have a great time!

Betsy--how is Mark? Said more prayers at church this morning, my dear.

HB-- I was so sorry to read about the snow! We had a record year here in the Northeast (PA/NJ), so I can relate to your misery! God, I can't wait to see the population explosion at the end of this year from all the snow days LOL

Leigha--I'm sure all at once...BAM! 5 more lbs! You have been a freaking weight loss power house, girl! What a great goal you've set for yourself and I have no doubt you will do it!

So I was finally able to have mushies today (hey, I'll take it!) I went to church around 10:30, then we went to brunch. I had most of an eggbeater/cheese omelet, a couple bites of potatoes, one piece of wheat toast all without incident. I then proceeded to have a couple of bites of my son's pancakes and was all STOP! Lol. I am thinking it was about 8 or 9 total ounces (which my doc confirmed is just fine). Needless to say I was finished at 1 pm and it's almost 7 and I still haven't eaten anything else. I am thinking I might be at a good place (well today anyway) because I was so starving in between meals before this fill I was just looking for food. Please pray this is "the one" guys. I have about 25 lbs to go until goal and I am so close I can taste it :-)!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Back to the grind on Monday! I took Wed, Thurs and Fri off for my fill appt, 6 months post op appt and school lunch with my son, so I have had a few days off. I soooo don't want to go back!!!

Question...I had a fill on Friday. Followed the dr's instructions and had liquids the rest of the day Fri. On Sat I was allowed to transition to mushies and soft foods. This all went great! In fact i felt like I could eat a ton (I didn't though). Today (Sunday) I am to go back to normal foods. I have meds I take 2x a day. This morning I took my pills and they briefly got stuck. I decided I was just gonna do a shake for Breakfast. It went fine. Lunchtime-I decided to have some turkey deli meat wrapped around some string cheese. I ate like 3 bites and pain and fullness and hiccupping and burping . Dinnertime-I made lasagna. I mashed the crap out of mine, and ate no noodles and chewed like I never chewed before and got in 2 bites before the pain and hiccups and burps started. Why could I eat yesterday and not today? Am I just irritated from the stuck pills? Do i need a slight unfill or should I hold out a few days? Argggg this is so frustrating because I am STARVING!!

Chick-with this last fill (#3) I got a little tighter every day for the first 5 or 6 days...I can't explain it. By the end of the first week it stabilized and I stopped getting tighter but every day was a challenge there for a while. Of course, it could be related to the pill incident too :-P proceed with caution my dear!

Hey Guys

its been a while- good to be back to studies and life. Being abroad means I cant get more restriction for another 7 weeks and thats a bummer. Sorry guys. Feel like I need to vent.....once again about RESTRICTION and how I will NEVER figure it out :-(! So, I had a fill on Thursday morning. Did liquids all day Thursday, Friday and Saturday, had mushies yesterday and today I am back on regular food.

This morning (around 6:30 am), I had my Muscle Milk shake. I had my breakfast around 10:30 (packet of healthy grain cream of wheat and a cheese stick). 1:30 I was RAVENOUS!!!!! Should I be that hungry after only 2.5 hours?? All I know is, I just had to wolf down a 100 calorie bar because I don't want to do lunch yet. I thought it should be 4 to 5 hours before you get hungry again. Now, I saw on the screen that I had a good restriction level on Thursday. What the heck could possibly be going on that I'm starving again??? I don't get it! Will it take longer for this fill to hit or something? I know, I'm impatient as anything, but after an almost 1-month plateau, I just want this to work and for that last fill to be "the one"! I am beyond bummed! Any ideas or insight?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
