Significant weight loss=Better sex life?

Recommended Posts

Lack of libido can be caused by weight related depression, low testosterone or just age. When I was in my 20s and working out 2 hours per day six days per week (and still a bit chubby) I used to beat the breaks off of my girlfriends for hours. We were literally both soaked with sweat like we ran a marathon. Then, I got older and heavier and found I had to keep them on top most of the time. It was good but just not as athletic or intense. Plus, I just wasn't as enthusiastic.

Now, I really don't know if losing weight will return my libido or my stamina to what it once was. I'm sure it will help, but I'm just not sure if anything less than a fountain of youth could restore my former enthusiasm and exuberance. I hope to find out soon.

Just as postBand shows us that we can eat to live rather than live to eat, there is more to life than mere 'sex'. Thankfully.

Lies!! :wub::scared2:;)

It is strange how much better it is, even just being down 25 Pounds from 305 to 280. The excercise has flipped on my testosterone switch and my wife seems to initiate a lot more often, which is great. Stamina is up. I can almost go 90 seconds now. Just kidding.

Renob, I am 6'6" and 230 is my goal too. Looks like you are there, good job. I am 36 and started at 305. Wondering if you have any advice and wondering what the extra skin situation looks like.

Am not banded but know the physiology:

Fat has an enzyme called 'aromatase'. This enzyme will convert testosterone in your body to ESTROGEN! So, the more fat you have, the more aromatase you have and that means more estrogen than the average lean mean. With weight loss, the testosterone/estrogen balance changes to favor the man hormone. This means all those things we like: increased muscle mass, increased energy, increased sex drive, and a bigger cock. (I'm LOL, I had to say it.)

[The penis responds to testosterone, so with a better balance it would gain more tissue in theory.]

      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
      Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

      Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

      Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
