How do I get my picture to post under my user name?

Hi All,

There's a support group meeting on Saturday March 13th at New Hope Bariatrics (435 and Nall). Anyone want to go? From what I read it's the second saturday of every month. Is there anyone that's attended it before?

Do you know what time it starts?

The Band-Wagon is a LAP-BAND® System support group that is open to any LAP-BAND® System patients, including those banded by other doctors or pre-band patients who are still researching the procedure.

The group meets at 10 a.m. the second Saturday of each month:

I go to WL surgical center's meetings otherwise I would love a support group, I believe that they are worthwhile!

I will be there. I went last month and loved it. The group was bigger than I expected but it was fun and the people are so nice. Hope to meet you. I will see what I can do to get my picture posted here before the meeting so we can try and find each other.

I live in Lenexa and I just got approved to be banded at Shawnee Mission Hospital by Dr. Hoehn. Don't have a date yet.

Looking forward to finally meeting some of you on Saturday! How's everyone holding up??

It's been so hard going through what everyone calls Bandster Hell. It really is difficult to eat correctly and small portions. I'm looking to the future where my good decisions become good habits and I don't have to try and control myself so much. I will automaticately be and eat healthy. :blushing:

Happy Friday!!

I will be there tomorrow as well. I am on day two of the pre-op diet and so far so good. Last night was a little hard due to the fact that my oldest daughter had softball practice and I swung by McDonald's to get her dinner on the way and had to smell it all the way from Olathe to Overland Park. You know what is funny about it....I have not ate a fast food burger in over 6 months but last night I could have scarfed that thing down. lol.

I will be there as well:) I have been having a hard time these last few weeks. I can eat almost anything! Scheduled for a fill in a few weeks cause I'm hungry a lot more and I have came a long way and NEVER want to gain that weight back! see ya all there.

I'll be there too. Hope we have some very positive banders at this meeting.

Hang in there Kendra! Believe or not, the pre-op goes by pretty fast after the first couple of days. Great job of just saying NO to McD's!!

Kendra - Day 3 of pre-op was the toughest for me. After that, it became routine and easier. Hang in there - it will be worth it.

Hi all.

I guess I am the first man to reply here. I got my band in May 2007. When they finally got it dialed in, I lost 50 pounds, gained back 20, and have been there ever since. I should lose about 120 more pounds. I picked the name elkhunter because I am far too heavy to drag myself up mountains with a pack and a rifle, but if I can ever get to that point, I WILL go. I am 55, 6 foot one, and- sorry ladies- happily married. LOL

I look forward to chatting with all of you, perhaps some encouragement can help me get this thing going again.

Ray
