I am so glad to have found all of you!!! Congratulations to all of you that have already had surgery, and good luck to all of you that will be having it soon. My surgery is scheduled for the 8th! It seems like all of us have a lot of the same fears and the same excitement. Thank you for allowing me to become apart of the April Bandster Bunnies!!

Congrats to everyone who's had their surgery & good luck to all of you scheduled this month. Had my surgery on the 1st & feeling really well. Still on Clear Liquids, but already walking about a mile & a half in the mornings. No "Speed Racer" here but getting it done. It definitely helps with the gas & bloating. Incisions are starting to look like they're healing, just every once in a while it feels like I get my port hung on a rib. Wow! That smarts! Love having an outlet to voice concerns and triumphs with others experiencing the same.

Do any of you have people in your life that you feel might sabotage your weightloss?:) I don't mean that they will do it on purpose but they still have an effect on offering you something that you shouldn't eat or they will be the one to say "come on and eat this brownie, you want be able to after your surgery". I work with several people like this, we are very close at my job, but it is so upsetting that I just want to take the next 2 days off it is my pre-op complete liquids that the surgeon requires. How do I handle this? Help any suggestions are welcomed!!

Tomorrow is my day and suddenly I'm really anxious about it all. I have to be at the hospital at 630 am, ughh. I've completed a 7 day diet of mostly clear low sugar liquids, and my advice is be honest with others and be strong. I've asked my coworkers to be supportive and would have no problem telling them to back off. Good luck. Not much help I'm afraid, but I'm the go with the honesty type of person.

Hi Ms. Rhonda looks like we are getting banded the same day. :) I have to say I am not good with people saying "come on and eat this you wont be able to after surgery" that is what happened to me yesterday at Easter dinner and I felt awful today. I already have had the Last Supper Syndrome real bad so it didnt help everyone trying to get me to eat and enjoy it yesterday. LOL. Just try your best to ignore them grab you a sf popsicle or Jello and say na that's o.k. I have something better. Tomorrow I am starting my clear liquids I only have to do the day before surgery but I am going to start it a day early figure it can't hurt. We can do it.

It's so nice to read everyone's posts! I'm having my surgery Wednesday so tomorrow is my day to get ready. I'm a bit nervous and what's making it worse is suddenly my husband has gotten really crabby and argumentative. I don't know if he's just nervous too, or that my grown daughter is coming to stay with us to help out, or some of all of the above. It's really just pissing me off. On one hand I'm excited to finally get this going, but I have some trepidation that it's just not going to work. The two week pre-op liquids (protein shakes, clear liquids, broth SF Jello and Popsicles) has been kinda hard but I've only lost 8 lbs. Ugh! I was hoping for what seems to be the average 12 - 15 at least. I reminds me of when I went to Weight Watches after I had my babies and lost 50 lbs each time but it took 1/4 lb weight loss per week. My body is SO resistant to losing despite my diet and doing 45 minutes exercise 5 days per week (or more but it doesn't make any difference).

Congrats to everyone who has just had their surgery and sending best wishes to us on the waiting list.....I appreciate reading everyone's posts SO much...it's helping me a lot right now.

Hugs to everyone.... Lori

Congrats to all those banded 2 day. Welcome to the other side.

UPDATE:

Today is a much better day. Of course the gas is still trapped but I managed to flush some out. I walked two miles today:thumbup:.1 mile this mornin and another this evening at a pace of 2.2 mph on the treadmill. I have very little pain at the incision area only when I cough.

Went to grocery store to pick up a few items. I was so happy that the section that usuall excit me was not even an issue. I have my post-op appt on Friday and I fly on Saturday to go see my hubby and baby girl. I miss them so much.

Good Luck to all the Bunnies crossing over 2morrow. God bless

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
